Not if you prefer racing in singleplayer.
I like online too, but there are many who dont and furthermore with credits and xp online will be all about have the fastest possible car and not the one you like. At least most of the time i guess.

Sure, they should do it like in gt5p i case of credits/xp for online. But it should not be a replacement for the singleplayer.

I dont expect to have events till LvL 40.
But some more ;)

Damn, I hate hearing about GT6.
I feel the exact same way. I really really wish they would not even think of GT6. They need to spend a good solid year and update the standard cars as often as possible to premium. Makes no sense at all to even be thinking of GT6. :ouch:

All I ask is to start converting the standard cars to premium. This will make a huge difference in GT5. I really hope this conversion happens.

On top of that I dont want to hear anything about DLC. I want the standard cars converted to Premium.

Even though some on this board spew nonsense about online being the be alle nd all, a recent study showed only 20% of console gamers play online. On top of this, I have played a lot online, and for every good match there is 5 terrible ones, not just Gt5, COD, Mag, etc... Online gaming is overrated crap IMO. Too many idiots ruin it all the time. SP is where more people will play Gt5, its a shame its SP is as bad as it is.

The whole thing would be fixed if they rewarded players with just a tiny bit of xp and credit in online races.

Aggree to a point, but a lot of people dont care or want online, i played 3 races last night, every time some idiot kept racing the wrong way crashing into people, i signed off and may not play online for awgile.

People

Stop moaning about leaderboards, there will not be any leaderboards at the moment and for a very good reason.

What would be the point in giving you a load of leaderboards for cars, then they make a change in the cars performance / physics / damage or things that will have an effect on laptimes then have to reset all the leaderboards.

( how mad would you be that all your times have been taken down ! )

It also means more work for PD. Why do the work 3/4 times when once is enough.

Just be patient

They will come but not until all the changes and updates are in place.

I for one would much rather wait for leaderboards until they are 100%.

I remember setting a load of times in prologue then all then times were removed, so i didnt bother to do anymore incase it happend again.

As always it seems he is taking care of the online stuff. Thats all well and good for those who play online. What about us that dont??.

The possibility is there............ offcourse it is. The possibility of me being a millionaire is there as well, yet it dont mean it will happen.............the possibility is there for it to happen is all.

Im kinda getting miffed with him now.

"Thank you sir, may I have another? Thank you sir, may I have another?"

I don't think I've ever met a more ungrateful bunch. This will be the fourth update in less than one month. How about being happy that PD is bringing out updates and patches so frequently?

How about not having to wait for online XP, leaderboards and patches/fixes to begin with? should have been on the disc from day one, all respect to the developers though, glad they are updating it but let's not pretend that we should be on our knees folding our hands thanking them for things that should have been in the game from day 1.

Just saying.

Ungratefull? You blind? Gt5 is getting a major pass by people like you, despite missing a wealth of features that are on almost every other game, and is really lacking in the online setup and single player career mode. All this for 5 years development. blind fanboys... pathetic.

If the game was DONE properly, we would not need patches for basic functionality. These are things every other game has had for years..................

Im a customer of his products, and im not happy knowing that he is concentrating on the online feature of the game more than the other parts of the game, when infact i rarely (if ever) use it.

Whatever happened to the customer is always right?.

I want him to expand the offline game and improve it in keeping with the previous versions he made.

Surely adding more events would be one of the easiest upgrades he could do.

But we know that the game was released in an unfinished state. If it really bothers you that much you could always return the game, trade it in or sell it. You aren't obligated to keep it you know. I just don't see how complaining on an internet forum is going to achieve anything.

Sigh.. we never knew that when we bought the game now did we?

And with the tiresome reply of "return it if you don't like it" you are just completely missing the point.. who says they don't like it?

People are rightfully asking for the before mentioned features, don't think so black and white.

People will be disappointed again...
I will be happy about every update, I enjoy the game massive right now and every little thing added will just make it better.

Online isn't that bad. I've played numerous games that had power limitations and clean racing and had lots of fun. There will be idiots here and there but dealing with them can be part of the fun too. And you won't even have to worry about that if you have friends you can play with, set up a private game and you're good to go.
I agree that the game needs more single player events though, hell just give me an event editor and I'll be happy. wasn't that supposed to be included in the game anyway ?

Online b-spec seems fun !!

It will show my bob that he's not alone with the same limitation :) and will give him more confident on doing offline races (hopefully)

I don't care how many updates it takes them to deliver the game they advertised, as long as I feel like I've been sold an unfinished product I will keep moaning.

Sad.

I love GT. Its the reason i bought a PS3 for freaking 900 SFr nearly 4 years ago.

That doesnt mean i have to be satisfied with what i get.
I like GT5 a lot! I did not play anything other then GT5 since release.

But nobody can tell me, he is happy with A-Spec and special events as it is now.
I doesnt take a lot of time to create those events compared to cars and tracks.

So why are there so few. There are 9!! Rally Events where you can choose your car. This would even be enough for me, if you could earn the money again. ~200k for 25min is not even a lot compared to grinding AC or Like a Wind. But it would be enough for me. But nothing?!

I have already about 15 Rally Cars. I love Rally Cars. But i cant use them proper in GT-Mode because there are no events. Great!!

I use the Peugot 205 Rally for the EU Event on Extrem. Just because i want to use it.

GT5 is great but it could be so much better with little effort.

We need 3 things in a major way.
1: Credits and Xp in online races
2: Leaderboards and not just for stock car time trials but for tuned cars as well.
3: The ability to save our tunes and recall them as needed.

My only with issue with GT5 is how... unpolished... it seems compared to the other games, by no means do I think it's bad, I've played nothing but GT5 since it came out and had a hell of a long session last night, but I think there are things that need to be addressed. Would I have wanted it delayed? Not really, as long as it can be fixed, but I have no doubt Kaz would probably never have released the game if we wait for PD to fix everything.

Thats mainly the standard models. Thats why the standard to premium conversion should be one of their very first objectives. Online credits would be nice too but I dont think that will happen. :guilty:

Umm, no, Standards are low on the priority list........... Online system is weak and shallow, lack of content for Single player, bugs, glitches. Standards should only be looked at after major issues are adressed.

Umm standards are 80% of the cars in the game 800 cars. So yes obviously VERY VERY high on the list. If they fix the standard cars then we can actually use them for everything in the game like photo travel, and change wheels, and have cockpit view..........

But I do agree that I want the other stuff fixed too. The list is huge for things that need to be fixed in GT5. So I cant even imagine where they would even begin. :scared:

Cars not looking as good as others is LOW on the priority list, they still can be driven.

But they dont have a cockpit, the wheels cant be changed, they cant be taken to photo travel. Again the standard cars are 80% (800) of the cars and truly need to be fixed so the entire game can be played. Instead of being restricted to only 20% of the cars.

Forget the cars. It will take waaaay to much time. There will be some more but never ever 1000 cars as premiums at this state. No chance!

So its low indeed. The other stuff needs not the half of the time the cars would need.

It is an integral version of the shortened interview published yesterday in Famitsu.

New large game-update is scheduled for 20th December

Here is the link for "long" interview, it has just being published:

Here is the overview of published "short" version made by Andriasang yesterday with only small excerpts of above interview:

Google/Babelfish will just a messy and lousy job, Systranet will make it much better.

But for propper job, all native speakers please contribute. Thanx in advance.

EDITED: Andriasang just published their translation of few bits from above "big" intervew:

cool!

wow! I did not know that Sony/PD failed to implement the B-spec online play feature! haha :dunce:

"One thing Yamauchi would say with conviction is that Gran Turismo 5 will have online races for B Spec mode. He wouldn't give an exact time frame, but said that this is something he's personally wanted to do."

All those are minor things compared to major gameplay and content fixes that are needed.

I think of GT5 as a sim and not a game. It would be good to have control of which cars you race against and at whatever level you choose for the AI.

This would give GT5 a very long life and stop all the moaning about the lack of A spec events.
There's more to GT5 than just getting to the end of it.

First he said its included. then end of december, then he said january, now there is no time frame 👎

Thats why i want some more. Because i already see the end. In case of events at least.
