I don't hate it, although I'm liking it less and less. As I've said hundreds of times when i'm forced to defend my opinion, I want the GT series to return to what I see as former glory in GT1-GT4 days. Including standard cars on PS4 is nothing something I see as a step towards that. I would have hoped most people felt the same way and were somehow able to influence PD to change their decision. Obviously not, people here are instead happy for GT to stagnate and continue with mixed quality.

The problem with what you just said is, I don't been like GT Any more. I rarely play it. Only time I play is when @LVracerGT texts me and tells me to get on. I disagreed with you solely because your idea is laughable. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but thankfully some peoples opinions are far better than others.

In what way did I make him angry? It was a fair question and he answered it fairly, if a little briefly. Maybe the manufacturers are dragging their feet and it isn't actually a PD delay? :)

    Shiro: I think that we're inspired a lot by the 510 and that era of compact sport cars and we want to find out how we can bring back that spirit again.

    We have the GT-R, but we know that you want a lighter, maybe less powerful, but still fun to drive car like that. Our designers -- really, all young people -- want a car like that.

    Even looking at the interior, as the world of cars are becoming more complex, we wanted to even look for a way to make that as simple as possible.

I don't think you can like it less. No matter what PD does, you only respond negatively to it. You never see at least one good thing in something. GT isn't stagnating, it's working on a comeback. Whether it succeeds or fails, I'm sure you will hate it. People aren't happy GT is stagnating (that wouldn't make any sense), they are happy PD is working on making GT good again.

Whoa, everyone is on full meltdown mode. I already read through the entire thread so no need to tell me what happened. I'm just gonna look at two points of interest.

Where exactly does this "Confirm" that standards will be in GT7? For all we know, it more likely means they are hanging on to the data for each of those cars and not necessarily putting them all in GT7. I'm not believing it until I actually see it happen.

Ok, what a minute. First of all, that's Taku Imasake saying that, not Kaz. I realize they get their answers from him so I'm not taking his, but we haven't always gotten the correct answers from any Sony personnel and that video is the ONLY time I've seen where the "DLC Every month" comment was made (Unless there's a Article I missed somewhere of Kaz himself saying). I distinctly remember someone from SCEE saying something about GT that was not once even close to being true.


Overall, it seems like everyone is overreacting to the answers on Reddit. I know we want answers to some of the big questions, but I sure as hell wasn't looking to Reddit for any of them.

I know it's Taku and Kaz, but you'd think he would double check his info before promising stuff. One of the reasons the game was appealing is because of getting new content.

At best, it appears to imply they are being considered. Keeping an archive could easily mean they are just keeping data from them, its not necessarily full confirmation that they will be coming.

I know that, I'm just saying we've gotten statements that had no confirmation or never turned out true and they were from Sony Officials. While I agree about double checking info, the same needs to be said about the people who get answers from Kaz.

If Standards were the only thing Samus complained about in GT6, that would be great. Many would rejoice.

But whether it be Standards, Sounds, AI, whatever else, there's a loud contingent of people here who incessantly complain. There are flaws in the game. We know that. Going on and on and on about them does not change that. GT6 is a flawed game and always will be.
 
Kaz, why bother with standard cars?

We already have a game for that. Its called Grid Autosport.

What a great input. You know you don't HAVE to post, right?

And when I see the level of some arguments here about standards cars,... i mean: either some posters are very young, or they never learned how to argue at school. Examples coming straight from their bums, analogies that make no sense, arguments with no logic whatsoever... and dishonesty everywhere.

GT is a dying saga, and the more I read this forum, the more I see why.

Pcars can't come soon enough.

No one knows when GT7 will hit, however this pretty much says from Kaz himself standards will return.

"...some of those cars we may be able to make into Premium cars as they become available - but basically we're more focused on increasing the number of premium cars."

Which means I will not be buying GT7. Standards never should have made an appearance in the first place. To have standards on PS4 is inexcusable.

There was no mis-translation. This was purely to drive sales before launch, and I still wouldn't be surprised if a lawsuit came from it. This is BS back-pedaling from Kaz, and all it did was put me off from buying another GT even more. The only people that should believe that was an honest mis-translation are the fanboys who will buy the next GT no matter what.

I've still got my eye on November for pCARS. It's been a good run for GT, but I don't support people or companies that lie to drive sales, constantly fall short of their own announcements and goals (see Zahara track), and cut corners (standard cars) just to push more content.

Did everyone all the sudden forget that we were all charged full price for this game last December and it JUST got updated to where it should have been at realease? FFS camber wasn't even working correctly until the last update. It's like just because Kaz started "answering" more questions publicly that everything is golden. Not so.
 
So as we witness here, generosity from Kaz isnt enough to pay the "debt of the fans" which is the promised features. People just didnt care. The bad WILL ALWAYS outrun the good.

Lesson learned kids. Debt is bad for you, REALLY BAD.

Now, back to RFactor racing with 40 CARS SUCKA.

I didn't say it was a mistranslation, I only said that it only appears to have been Taku Imasake that said this and not Kaz. Again though, I only base this on that video being the only time where I've seen that it was actually said.
