For GT5, I think they should have more little cars. Something with a smaller horsepower, but thats just me. Personally, I love getting like a BMW 120d and sooping it up and blowing away a Lancer or something like that. It's just funny! I was just wondering if anyone else thinks we should ore little cars like Kia, Hyundai and Smart. (If you don't know, a Smart is a small car made in Germany by Mercedes and the "Fortwo" can fit in a normal parking space, sideways.)

No. I really don't want to see weak minivans in the game when a much better car can take its place.

However, this is my opinion, and PD can do what they want with GT5.

Well, I don't have a problem with crap cars in the game. It WOULD be funny if you could change the HP and torque to 2000 in Arcade Mode (after all, it IS Arcade), and pass up the F1 car like it's the Motor Wagon.

I like small cars, I mean really small cars like Miatas and MRS'es. But I also prefer coupes for various reasons, and coupes in that size class are pretty much gone these days, all except the little front drive econoboxes like The Accent GT, Toyota Echo, and such. I voted the Accent GT because I think it would be cool to turbocharge one of those things to about 200 hp, and of course fortify everything else for performance driving as well. Something I will do in real life eventualy. It will make for a quick little car. But my ultimate creation would have to be something like the Accent rally car in GT4 but without the decals and in any color but white. An accent GT with a bored and stroked 2.0 liter I4 making about 300 hp and all wheel drive, to beat the pants off a Lancer Evo. :dopey:

I find it hard to call the Accent a small car (length = 4.22m) !
Probably a cultural difference between US and Europe.

In Europe, small cars either belongs to segment B1 (length not greater than 3.66m) or B2 (length between 3.67m and 4.00m).
The Miata and MRS can be called small cars though they are on the upper limit of the category (about 3.90 in length for both of them).
The Hyundai belongs to segment M1 (length between 4.01 an 4.50) as it has an average length.

I'd rather call 'small' a car that would be a 'midget' in Japan : ie less than 3.50m in length.

Mr. Smartass' part being written, I have to say now that I like these cars too, and I'm planning to post an interest check to set up a 'small car team' that would organize small car OLR events on GT4.
👍

I do not want to see Smarts or Kia's in the game they would be a waste of space.

flat-out

There is indeed differences between what Americans call "small cars" and what Europeans call "small cars." I'd like to point out that we have the biggest darn cars on the planet. Personally, I like small cars like the Smart and the Mini. In fact, I heard about the Smart on the website once, and now, I want to buy one. One problem, they don't sell them in the US yet! My thought on why they're not sold here yet is because our government has a "fear" of small cars. You know, they get to good of gas mileage! lol:crazy:

Smart car, I can handle. At least it's unique.
But if Kia, Daewoo, etc appear in GT5, I'll be pissed off.
The same goes for Hyundai, but to a lesser extent.

Aww...c'mon guys!

Gran Turismo is supposed to be the "Real Driving Simulator".
And in the real world, not everyone drives a Ford GT or McLaren SLR.

In my opinion, any of the poll nominees would be a fine addition to the game. Sure, not everyone would drive them, but the possiblility is there. Don't waste it before you get it.
