Kick and block

So last night online several of us in a lobby enjoying ourselves, then a guy comes in and starts racing comes last and blames it all on the fact assists where turned off. He then procceds to abuse us verbally. I had to leave the room handing it to the next inline as i didnt know how to kick him out. Then i get loads of message abuse from him.

Here is my question.
A how would you kick someone out of the room.
B how do i block him from sending messages.

If you're the host then you click on their name in the list, a drop down menu shows up and you hit kick player.

Bring up the XMB and in the players met list find the player and I'm sure theres an option to block them there.
