Kicking people because of Nationality

EDIT:
I just spoken too early. Star_Drift_DmX just kicked me out for no reason. It´s sad for him and his team (by the way, Star_Drift_DK was there too, so this kind of behavior is tolerated on this team).

Star Drift can be a joke sometimes (knowing since I was a Team Falken Co-Leader and we were close teams & no offense to any member). They want EVERY online member of Star Drift to be the first ones in the lounge/room, then let others join. If that's not the case then they're just having fun.

If your theory A is right, they are lame and stupid. If your theory B is right, they are lame and idiots.

One way or another, their reputation is already dirty. All i needed to check this was spend 5 mins on their thread.

US rooms are getting on my nerves. The people there cant tell the difference between a french flag and a dutch flag. Heck, i bet they dont even know where Europe is.

i have 3 flags
first flag was UK no problem tu drift with people
with my SLOVENIA flag there are problems tu find people to drift
with Italian flag I have less problem
UK flag is the best:)
this is no good for GT5
to much rasism:(
wtf
insted of flag myb age of people wood be nicer:)

They won't put age there instead, it is too personal information.

I could not help myself...

PSN doesn't allow me to register under my own country... So I use the American Flag and I do feel like I'm undercover sometimes when people get kicked because of their flag. I've also seen a very low tolerance for Brazilians. Which most times they are really irritating to drift with. Other than that most European countries tend to be kicked often and I agree with the OP fully.

PS: to America, everyone else is a Mexican.

I agree with Drift_Monkey about the Brazilians. Many time i felt shame of my flag after see some BR guys and some BR roms... for many reasons. Most of them don´t even know what is Confort Hard tires, have bad connection (even with myself, playing in the same country), have awful skills or even think that AWD is the right path. I confess that from all BR drifters that i played untill today, i can´t remember of even 10 that worth it. And not most of them uses BR flag, you will also find many using US flag or PT (portugal) flag, because before 1 year ago we didn´t had a brazilian PSN, so its normal everyone have alternative accounts to get demos and such from the other regions.

Otherwise yesterday i was playing in a room filled with NZ/AU guys and i hadn´t no major issues to play with. I guess the main point of this thread is that there are a lot of people from any country that dont have a good connection or at least don´t care about it. Besides you will see good and bad drifters from any flag, some will have more and some will have less... but before look at the flag, you should go out of your bubble and spend 5 minutes to know who your drifting with.

Everytime before i play i restart my modem, test my connection to see if its all ok (normal speed, NAT 2, UPNP working) and clean my temp files in the GT5 options.

If you get kicked in a drag lobby because of a flag its usually because we have to have the least amount of lag possible to get even runs.

Lol, once again someone brings drag racing into a drifting forum. :dunce:

i have seen this happend endless times, when someone is kicked out of the room based upon their nationality; i will have to agree with whoever said not to pay attention to this because that just means they are not worth spending time with. This happens often and everywhere in the world of GT5 and just because an american or japanese, aussi, british, german etc did it doesn't mean all the americans or japanese, aussi, british, german etc are exactly the same; it just means we have to ignore a few idiots.

And PD might give this a thought but i dont think they'll come up with anything too drastic. About the flags well, this is a racing game, its about competition and i think thats how Kazunori~san intended it to be.

there are lounges with micro so he discusses them and also to eject some nationnalité they ca.
There is also a fool who eject their way.
Whenever I create a room I drift expels just idiots that spend their time has run in the wrong direction and you rush in pleasure.
it happens to eject do not know why more has to find another salon. ^ ^

sorry for my english.

I just have respect for everyone, so I don't kick people and if I get kicked oh well it's their loss. There's way too many other cool people to drift with than some stuck up A-Holes. I did hear this disrespectful crap talking youngster get put in his place by this guy from Kentucky. Lol funniest exchange I ever heard but in the end the young dude apologized and learned something about respecting others.

When I get kicked from any lobby. I usually send the host a message on PSN and ask wtf???

Love the responses even when I can read the different languages;)

Oh yeah. How do you go about changing your nationality on PSN??

You got to create another user and sign up to psn and select the country you want. If its say a USA account you need a USA address, google can provide this. Hope this helps good luck.

Hey it's a crying shame when this happens to people. That's why i never kick anyone because of where they are from

Im an aussie and its actually rare that i get kicked.
Generally ive only been kicked when i stop being serious and start doing stupid ****.
Ive joined us, japanese, brittish, etc no problems so far..

I will race with anyone, but I have a list of names in a "black book" which are lists of clean drivers, great drivers, dirty drivers and people with bad connections, I have only been kicked from 2 rooms, one was for going backwards in dirty nascar, but the reason for that was to takedown the room host who was already going backwards and he kicked me for pinning him in the wall and not letting him go anywhere, the other time was when entered a room for a race series but didn't register my online PSN name so I got the boot straight away,

But when I run rooms I try to keep it within 3 nationalities as 6 or 7 different countries can cause lag big time, so yes I am guilty of kicking people based on nationality, but its not because I'm racist,

Also for the fella that's coming from italy to australia, instead of going as far as creating a new PSN account, why don't you PM the room host before entering rooms and notify them your in australia, or have your signature say something like, I'm loving it here in australia,

I kick my own nationality specially guys :P...Because there out off controle (AKA Crazy and miss behives on track) and tend to drift in the oppisite directions using a VAN car!...LOL

Ok I think I'm done with French rooms. Went in a room full of them yesterday. One of them told the host. Host waited on me to come to his portion of the track. He proceeded to ram me off track mid drift then kicked me cuz I'm American. They all had a good giggle:(

I'm sure he could read what I sent him on PSN.

Room host was: ROCKSTAR - ALEX. or something like that. Damn jerk!!!

I know there all not like that but most if them can't stand us for some reason. Well don't look at us for help the next time yins can't win a war;)

As a German-American stuck in America with an American PS3 and flag, I actually find that I get respect because of the GTP tag I have - numerous times I could hear people on the mics saying "He's got a GTP tag on, must be pro." or "Maybe I can pick up some tips from him..."

I usually have my mic on mute - there is a lot of background noise where I live, plus I've usually got my music playing when I play GT5. And in no way am I 'pro' - I consider myself to be a mid-pack to backmarker in online rooms. I just enjoy the game.

Have I been discriminated against? Very rarely - I never play dirty & drive as clean as possible. People do tend to see that I do have a bit of a lag issue sometimes, but if I don't wreck people through that, then I usually can join almost all rooms without problems. (Including drift/drag rooms when I need to perfect a circuit racing tune.)

As a drifter, i politely ask you NOT to do this. Drifting is a totally different thing, and drifting and racing doesn't go together :)
