.....anyone planing on going online?. If so look for Labounti. Its fun. 16 player games are nice. I have to say I never played a fps online for PS2 and this holds up really well. I say it feels like a mix of RainbowSix3 and REdfaction 2 for multiplayer .

I would say even rent it for a week. I have not played the single player game yet, just logged in an hour and a hlaf my first run with online. Alos, the virtual keyboard is awsome and easy to use. Basically you aim the left stick in one of 9 directions with the 9th being centered. the you press the 4 buttons to choose your letter with R1 for caps and R2 for numbers. It really cool and if someone learned this they could type with the DS2 just as fast as some people type. Sadly its the second best feature of the game withthe first being the gun animations and 3rd the gun sounds :).
 
I was planning to buy this game just for the multiplayer, then i saw the reviews and they were quite awful. Is there a lot of people that play this online? I might go pick it up
 
I rememer all the hype around this, the halo killer tag line, cobragt making out as if it was amazing (ironically he said the game had weapons with something like 10k polys at all distances, and it turns out that the game has MASSIVE lod problems, quite funny), and it turns out to be a very average game. I won't be buying it anytime soon.

Red faction 2...oh dear god, I'm staying away.
 
I like Red Faction 2. :D

I must be getting Killzone next week, and I plan to play it online. But it seems that Ratchet 3 is going to be the best PS2´s option to the online players for a good time now. I can´t wait to play it!

a mix. Not like red faction but mor e like rainbowsix. Lik i said its worth a rental. There are really bad lod problems but when does that matter when playing online. It's getting slammed in reviews but so did TXR3 and that sold tons.


There were over 600 playing online the day of its release and many 16 player games goin on. I would say buy it if you are going to play online, rent it for the single player(based on reviews) Its still fun.

Alos there is an updated system that can patch the game if needed( its gonna happen)

By the way i saw the Halo 2 commercial and i nearly wet my pants.
 
There is a patching system, when you load the game it checks the memory card for updates. SOCOM 2 has the same thing. i dont know how it works though.
 
Wow, is it that good ? Man the reviewers of this game were tough on KZ. IGN gave it 7.5/10 and Gamespot gave it 6.9/10. Is this a game worth playing if your getting bored of socom?
