King of the year race..how?

Okay, I finally got to the ultimate race.

But..the problem is, do I need to win it for the ending credits?

Its a race of Nurburgring and Im using the elise 111S(LVL10) while the AI has a Turbo-R that practically beats the hell out of my car..

Now what am I gonna do? :dunce:

Yes, you need to win it. And if you find it is really impossible to beat it with the Elise, your only option is to run another game year and change to a faster car before that race.

Happened to me too. And it's two laps. I had a maxxed out R33 and one of my opponents was the Turbo R with 469hp! I figured i could take him and i was doing pretty good through the first lap. From the pressure to keep him behind me though i eventually crashed and only managed to finish 4th.

The second year i had my Evo VIII maxxed out and i never lose with that car. Of course, the Turbo R didn't come back for a rematch! Maybe next year.

I wouldn't do that if I were you! I think the "king of the year" race is for road cars only, so if you have the R8 the game won't let you race it!

One other thing I recently noticed is that the race just before the "KotY" race has a subtitle that goes something like this: "Grab a ticket for the king of the year race". I'm not sure what this means (if anything), and I'll test this when the time comes, but, just in case, pick the car you want for the last race at least two weeks before it's scheduled. And be sure to race the penultimate race (the one with the subtitle I mentioned).

I don't think you want to risk another wasted game year just because you don't notice these litle things :crazy: :dopey:
 
Uhhh ... one other thing I must tell you is that you should use the game year you now have to run to practise races in the Nurburgring REVERSE. I already had the unpleasant surprise of getting this one in the King of the Year Race.
