I need your help. I've lost the book that comes with the PS2. I need to know how long the Warranty is for. Please, Please.

I think that's what I was after. If it's something else, then I'll let you guys know.

Somthing crappy from 9 months to a year. Why are you thinking of modding it? I'm sure you could find the info on the PS2 site. I've even seen scans from old NES manuals.

I still have everything that came with the PS2 in the box.

That sucks big time. Why is it so short? I thought a year was pretty lame.

Well from what I have read. Is that Sony has repaired PS2's for free even when they are out of warrenty. I think that might only be for the disc read problems that the older PS2's have though.

That's usualy the first thing to go on a PS2. But sometimes it can be a good idea to repair it yourself.

Yeah I have to get the bugger fixed. Controller Port 1 isn't working. Sounds to me like a loose conection, but I don't want to do anything. My Dad is an electrician, but he said it's better to take it in. I also need to know what the Guarantee is, if you bought yours from Kmart.

Do you mean a extended warrenty offered at Kmart?
There are a few places here that do that. Wouldint know how long it is at Kmart or anywhere else.
Dont think we have any KMarts here.

What I can say about PS2 warranties: PS2s start to give disc read error/ funny noises etc, when the waranty expires

Don't you have to fill in and send off a form for the warranty?
I'm guessing you're abit strapped for cash, DRUFT4EVA, because PS2's are pretty cheap (£100, meh) at the moment. Anyway, not too long till Xmas!

Yes ExogeExcel I am very much strapped for cash. PS2's here are $279

Good job it's not the only way. Forget about those slow asses and rely on a quality courier service like Planet delivery.
