Koenig in GT4

Yeah, I like all the 0-60, 0-100 times etc, but I like to see the cars race each other. They can all go round corners as well.

Obviously, so far as I know, non of these "supercars" do race each other.

The nearest thing they get to it is on a UK TV Show called Top Gear. They send cars round the same test track every week, with I assume, the same driver.

They use this trackHere

And have so far sent these cars around it Here

Unfortunately there hasn't been an Enzo round the track yet, but there has been a Koenigsegg, which has been the 5th fastest car round the track. 3 seconds off the top spot, which isn't that bad , considering the opposition.

If all the cars are in GT4, we'll be able to race them ourselves. :)

Corners are more important to me, which is why I'm still a fan of the Enzo. A lat g figure of 1.05 and a slalom speed 0f 73mph is rather impressive.

Though I'm waiting for some best motoring. They've had most supercars there. I've seen a race with an F50 against a Murcielago.

As for the Konigsegg it is certainly an upper level super car, but keep in mind the Enzo's baby brother the 360 CS beat the Koenigsegg around the track.

edit: That is why I want everything in GT4. Can anyone picture a Mclaren, CGT, Enzo, Zonda, Koenigsegg battle at Nurburgring? yummy

Anyone know what the orange car in the middle is?

Good reasoning there.

I didn't know the Enzo was actually a good car, there you go. I knew it had been hyped to hell in various places but I thought it wasn't a patch on the F1. It is after all heavier, slower.

Edit: Looks like a Lotus Elise GT3man.

Yes, it's a VOLKSWAGEN PHAETON 6.0 W12...
This screenshots are from GT concept, so it will probably be in GT4 :dopey:

Yes Top Gears lap tests are with the same driver (although the weather sometimes becomes a factor if its wet!)...... the test course is nice and twisty so its probably as good as any other track to compare real world performance. The McLaren SLR is the top of the list in the link on the Top Gear website BUT thats only because they haven't updated it yet...... the Carrera GT now holds the top time as it was a few tenths quicker that the SLR!.

I think they'll get a time for the Enzo soon as one of their regular guests (JK from Jamiraquai) has one that he likes to show off! :) It will be close but I suspect it will beat the CGT 👍

Nodbody knows, we haven't seen a full carlist, in game screenshot, or even a test picture of one (I dunno, that's wild speculation but it's probably accurate eh like anyone cares lalalalalalalala) so i'd have to say that the answer is a definite I dunno.

Wake up guys. There isn't "a Koenig". Koenig is a tuning company that tunes, or has tuned, all sorts of cars. Just a few Ferraris. I think the addition in GT4 will probably mean the older ( 80's ) models, based on the Mercedes SL and the BMW 8 series.
Check out this site for more info on the wide range of koenig models. (it's not complete though, as it lists more ferraris while other cars>ferraris)

Dude, Koenig goes for Koenigsegg... everyone understands it. its the really fast car that's gonna beat the **** out of the CGT when its new model will come out. Stop being anal 'bout this.

Koenig = Willi & Walter Koenig, German tuners.

Koenigsegg = Christian von Koenigsegg, Swedish supercar builder.

i thought this was about koenigsegg :dopey:, but i forgot koenig is the company that tunes exotic cars(bmw- the 850 only, ferrari, and lamborghini)..

Glad that misunderstanding's been cleared up.
bketv

In a pic that shows car companies in the game I was wondering where Sweden was as I'm sure Volvo are in GT4? If so than the Koenigsegg could be in. Still, it's all speculation. But if RUF are in than technically Koenig could be in too. But what's the point of speculation....have to wait and see I guess.

Though this thread is based on speculation, the inclusion of Koenig in Pro race driver 2 bodes well for GT4. If Code-Masters are able to work the licensing to obtain quasi Ferraris, I’m sure that there is a reasonable chance that PD may work a little magic. After all, KY has not been averse to pushing licensing into grey areas in the past with the likes of the nomad Diablo and RUFs.

Here is the PRD 2 description of their "non-Ferrari":
'Based on a famous Italian supercar(testarossa/512) the Competition 2002 features a twin-turbocharged, flat-12, 5-litre engine. With the maximum tuning applied, it can put out over 1000 bhp.'

Edit: appears that Koenig C62 (Porsche 962C) is also licensable. Fingers crossed then…

Well, the only thing I don't want to see is another RUF argument. Aww man, that was bad. But I've learned the truth. 👍

Event Horizon
Koenig won't make it into GT4. RUF is considered a manufacturer, while Koenig is a Tuner. They'd need Ferrari/Lamborghini/BMW/Merc liscensing to get Koenig.

I would agree with your assessment if I hadn’t come across the two Koenigs in PRD 2(which is without Porsche/Ferrari licence agreement.) If CM is able to include oldies such as C62 and Challenge, PD is able.

One final point, if CM purchased the said licences, it stands to reason that the cars would have been branded accordingly.

I think I'd rather have the Koenigsegg rather than the Koenig in GT4. Maybe both if Koenig were one of the tuners in the 'Tuner's Village' on the Main Menu, because, strictly speaking they don't actually build the cars. Sure, they might re-build parts of the cars to suit the modification, but I'd hate to see Koenig in as a dealer with no Ferrari.

Do you race?

If the two cars were included, it is doubtful that GT4 would list Koenig as a manufacturer. It is more likely that they would feature as hidden/unlockable vehicles. Further, as in the case of Pro Race Driver 2, the Ferrari and Porsche names would not be referred to within the game. Eg: ‘based on an exotic car from Italy, or based on all conquering Lemans group C racer.
