Korean GT4 (Got To Catch ‘Em All!)

i wonder what would happen if i got ahold of the korean version, got that IS200 and tried to transfer that car to my american version of GT4...probably wouldnt work, but would be worthwhile to at least try

Save games of diff versions are incompatible.

I might be wrong but there seems to be a strong connection between Hyundai and ford.....a lot of fords use kia parts...and didnt Hyundai buy kia or something...it almost seems like ford is in on all this .....can someone clear this up?

ever head of LG? they have pretty good cellphones too
heard of iRIVER? they make better mp3 players than ipod. (but they have the new one (6gb and color screen).. so they USED to be better than ipod.

IS200 GT1 looks like a great car. I'm happy with what I got though, so it wont be missed to badly. The Spirra is one hell of a car! 👍 I can beat anything of its equall with it and that includes the Ford GT. We're lucky we got it!

Is it just me, or are those Photo Mode pics absolutely fantastic? I've seen those locations before, but the shading on these is above and beyond what I've seen in any other photo.

Yea, I just fiddled with the levels in Photoshop bringing out the midtones and highlights better. Images straight from photomode are always overly under exposed and horrid to look at.

Look at the orginals , (skewed majorly out of proportion) and you should notice the difference.

dont let everyone get to you I just recently found out that there is a huge fan following for hyundia and kia lovers..I found this

"Thinking about having a crank pully machined out of billet for me. Wanted to see if there is anything I would have to consider that I might not expect when doing it or if I can just cad out the pully and get it machined and have everything go fine. anyway it will probably be a few months before it is done and I'll probably get 10 made to keep costs down. I was also thinking of adding an extra space for an additional belt to drive a supercharger. Not sure if I'll do that or not though. Honestly, I don't think anyone here is making fun of Korea. Some people just don't like Hyundais just like some don't like Hondas...simple as that.

I don't think f1king's question was rude in anyway either...sounded like he just wanted to know why the Korean ver. of GT4 got extra cars where as the NTSC & PAL vers didn't...perhaps the GT4 fanbase in Korea is huge? I don't know.

And I'm sure everyone here knows Samsung, LG, iRiver, etc...but honestly, I'm pretty sure that isnt the reason why the Korean version got extra cars.

I'm pretty sure no one here is being racist, no one here is bashing Korea...and if it did turn racial...then the moderators would of closed this thread by now.

Please explain how the original post was racist in ANY way? The poster merely asked what the big deal was. A perfectly valid question that in no ways even hints at racism.
 
-> Man, whats the deal of all of you guys dissing Korean cars? Just because of the Hyundai Excel problem back in the 80's that doesn't mean that you guys keep on hating these good cars. PD released few extra Korean cars in the Korean-spec GT4 for a numerous reasons. And take note, Hyundai's catching up w/ major automakers fast (ie. Toyota, Opel, Ford)

-> But, I would like to hope that PD added some more of those Korean cars like Daewoo (esp. those nice concept cars), Ssangyong (known for their SUVs), Samsung, and of course Kia (I'd like to see the [R]Sephia touring car concept).

-> Maybe on the online version of GT4, maybe some of these cars (or maybe more) will be included.

If it makes you feel better, I'm from the US and I think more people dislike us than you. Most people don't seperate North and South Korea. We've been taught in the states that North Korea is going to attack us and we have to dislike them.

From an American to a Korean, I apologize for the negative comments but most were just dissing your cars, not the people. The US gets their cars dogged on here also.
 
It may only be like a IS200 touring car but hey it looks good
and yes and IS300 race car would be good

and that Tibouron CC doesn't look so bad either

Sorry to be crucial but hey, reality bites. lol
All Korean cars drives like paper over 80mph, swifting on the freeway and makes driver feels very insecured. Yes "MAYBE" there's one or two Korean sports car handles atleast better but I wouldn't waste my money on it, I mean...WHO WOULD?

Yeah...okay....maybe another 100 years, or..probably NEVER.
They only catch up for the low-end cars like under 12,000USD price tag. Big bang for the bucks from the same class. And oh ! And their 100,000Miles/ 10 years Warranty...that's the only thing I would give kudos.
 
I posted so many times about this Korean version GT4.
Nobody cared month ago but why now?
hehe.. maybe I had to make a new thread but once mod rejected mine (about Korean version) I never tried.

Things that are exclusive to Korean version:
Cars listed above
Explanations about 700 cars just like Japanese version (I don't know what this is since I don't have Japanese ver., maybe narration?)
200 pages guide book. (Not sure about this either)

About Lexus IS. yes it's great, but it's been included as a Korean car/and only for Korean version because it's a racing car being driven in Korean races. ANd some more reasons, such as...

Lexus Korea sells Lexus in Korea
SCEK is one of IS200 GT-1 team sponsors

Personally, I hate to see another Altezza being added as a Korean car.
They try hard to have few more Korean cars being added and one of them has been replaced with Japanese. Why I hate this? Because it's all about the business/money.

And what's the big deal about Korea?

Again this time... 'Money'

Everyone invests to gain more profit, not to lose money.
 
As I am feeling a little slighted after seeing which cars the Japanese version did not get, I am wondering if the Korean version would play on my Japanese PS2. Anyone know for certain either way? thanks.
