I recently bought a PS3 with GT5P, i've played the game before at a friends last year and there was like 10-12 people in every race.

I'm struggling to get 3 sometimes only 1 player in the Pro races and maybe a few more in the intermediate events which is a bit too easy for me, i have a good internet connection (16MB down, 1.5MB up)

Is there just less people playing the game now?

What you are experiencing is normal. And it has been for the past 3 months. Especially NTSC version of GT5P. You need to find events that are organized here on the forums. That way you will find those 10+ crowds. Even those are hard to come by these days.

Good luck.

what do you think? the game has only a few tracks and cars.. nothing else.. people are tired but there are some resistants like me

Thanks guys, i was worried it was my router.

I have done the GTP registry today and hopefully i'll be accepted :)

Just race around 8-11pm. Around noon I struggle to connect to a race, but in the evening I get a lot of full grids (12 or 16 players).

I hadnt played gt5p for months until 2 days ago, I was in a 3 player only grid :(, we will have to wait til gt5 is out

The best races I have ever had have come in the last week. The grids were small, the competition was stellar. One good opponent is all you need to have 10 laps of great racing. I have been doing the Suzuka World Comp and it has been freaking awesome. Most fun with a video game EVER. Nothing beats passing California's and tuned Clio's in the S's:tup:

I have been in some full grids at this race also, 8 of the 12 cars will just make you mad because they are so off pace. My best suggestion is to befriend some fast guys and race when they do. Good Luck

There are less players racing now, yes. But there are still enough to get great racing.

Go to the Race Events section to view different events in place. Most are doing practice for Event 3 right now.

Less people racing = less punters. You can still get some good grids if you stick to the event schedule, the trick is picking which one is popular at the current time, e.g. a few weeks ago, R34's at fuji were the place to be, but at the moment, f430's at suzi has big GTP grids. My advice is check out the posts and the chatroom to find out where people are

Well, you can have some good fun with punters. :sly: Earlier on, i was driving the Ferrari California (great car btw) and i was in 3rd position in an online race at Suzuka. I was going around a corner and all of a sudden i heard this "Wooshhh!", it turned out a Ford GT (driven by a punter) had missed me by about an inch. He must have thought he could use me as brakes...needless to say he finished at the back of grid.
