I've no idea if 1:28 is possible, I only tried it breifly, but I was too tired then. I'll take your word for it.

honestly, i don't know what's supposed to be done about cheating. i don't think it's a bannable offense. all you can do for now is, i guess, ignore him.

i'm not sure what you said in the last line, sorry.

my sarcasm is endearing, huh, but that was more of a simple joke than intended sarcasm.

Ran 6 laps in this doofler best clean lap 1'33.457 i knew i would get a 1'33 :D i will try again later to see if i can get a 1'32.xxx or better..
 
Sorry to everyone and no i am not dishonest. I had another person that races the same stuff as I do and told me I was cheating. I am new to the post stuff so forgive me but I was using a car that was in sim mode that I had in my garage it had zero miles on it so I thought it was stock until further investigation from a friend I was running 510 hp and if I am not correct but the "stock" version has like 280? any way sorry for the mis- info. I guess I have bannished my so called rep but for everyone reading this post i would like to say sorry. But I will say this if anyone thinks he can run with me come down to MO USA and run with the guys at MGTRA. I am considered to be a threat to win the I-link tournament this year. Remember, we use the wheels & pedals and I also use the standard most of the time. Be glad to have ya and yes I put my money where my mouth is!

Hey if it was an honest mistake no big deal...so go run the arcade car and see how you stack up. There's enough experienced people here to know what's BS and what isn't.;)

I finally had a chance to work on this one, spent about 40 minutes on it. I love Laguna!

I ran with DS/2, MT and chase view.

i am trying and trying... but cant seem to break 1:35

do you ppl have traction control and stability control on?
it feels like i make most mistakes when i do corkscrew and last 2 turns.

and 2nd to last turn tells me to stay in 3rd but i always have to shift down to 2nd.. any ideas?

i wish i can view your replay carbon :( i dont have that device...(gameshark)
 
I ran my lap with TCS ASM off most peeps here do depending on the car,but i suspect everyone that has run this will have put it off..

ASM makes the car understeer a hell of a lot,not helpful if you want to slide the car a tad..

TCS and ASM will ruin this car, so I doubt anyone would benefit at all by using them. On the second to last turn you CAN stay in third, I think I did sometimes when I carried enough speed. If you bog down the motor too far by over braking it is beneficial to downshift to second briefly as this car makes all it's power over 7500 RPM. If you are doing this corner proplerly you can be at over 80 MPH on exit, I had a few runs as high as 83 at the end of the turn.:trouble:

The best way to learn the corkscrew is to go to the licence test with the corkscrew and watch the demo for starters,and try to get gold on it. It's worth it if you want to get fast as this turn has the most effect on overall lap time compared to just about any other corner in the game in my opinion. It's tough, but really ripping this corner is the sweetest feeling. :D

Oh BTW, I don't have a Gameshark, I have a Sharkport. A Gameshark is used primarily for cheating(codes and such). A Sharkport or X-Port is used mainly to transfer files to and from the PC, although it does allow hybriding which can be used to cheat, but easily detected;)

i had a chance to play some more laps and finally i broke thru the 1'35" barrier!

i got 1'34"93 :D

and with soo much mistakes too..

I think I got that because I was able to carry so much speed thru the last 2 turns somehow.

if I do a good lap, I am ahead by about 1 seconds upto the corkscrew, but after that , my 1'34" ghost somehow catches me up and just rockets thru the last 2 turns.

What speed do you guys get thru the last turn? and do you use normal apex? or is there some drifting involved to carry the speed along?
