First, sorry for my english :P

I was racing the supercup historical race, the last one in amateur.
I wanted to use my new Buick 62 Special upgraded to 8xx HP, almost all the upgrades (minus transmission)

The problem is that i can't pass the damned Miuras, there is always a Miura first and i cant pass it, always finish 2nd.
According the game the Miura has 377 HP only and i cant pass even in the long straights of Suzuka (golded the other one and silver in Suzuka and Laguna Seca)

The weird thing too is that it gives me the ticket for finishing all the amateur series (all Gold minus 1 silver)

I tried it with the buick. Whilst the car has high BHP after tuning, it is much heavier and more difficult in the corners to beat the miura. there must be a reason why the Miura is 20mil

It should be a gearbox limitation. Try to raise the top speed and you will notice quite a difference.

Anyway american cars can throw in all the hp they want, but european ones do not need that much raw power to reach the same speed or acceleration. I still remember the old Viper that used to have a 7999cc truck engine to reach 500hp, I wonder what Porsche or Audi can do with that...

It is a 6th Gearbox, the one it comes with the car, cant upgrade it.
Max Velocity achieved was like 350kmh.

The game seems to give more power to the AI if you have a powerful car.

I won this race in a stock (apart from I changed the sports hards to mediums) 512BB.

I was not aware that Europeans have a different set of physics that we work to?

A word of advice, this kind of ill-informed comment starts flame-fests on the web, and you would do well to gain some knowledge of how Cecile dynamics work before making daft comments like this.

Lets look at top speed shall we. You are claiming that a European car does not need the same raw power to beat an American car. Now assuming that the cars have the same frontal area, drag co-eff and rolling resistance from the tyres, you are talking nonsense.

European and American cars developed in very different environments and both have pros and cons, and you would be well advised to not post in this manner again.

Scaff

GT5 seems to have a "fair" system for the ai.
most races i've been in, even the one make gallardo. most don't have stock exhausts.

I just about won it in a stock Countach lp400 , but I really do think those Miura's are too fast to be from the 60's.
