Lancia Stratos is bugged

I want to add that oversteery cars are a lot easier to handle on a pad than a wheel. For this week's daily race A (karts at Brands Indy) I had a lot of trouble on the wheel and way off pace. Then I read someone recommending it's easier on a pad, and within a few laps of adjusting (I haven't raced on a pad since GT5P way back in 2008), I was already beating my wheel time and got much closer to my usual gap to the top times. There's this "invisible hand" that keeps the rear end more in check and of course it's easier to countersteer quickly when it does step out.

So yeah, if you have trouble with the Stratos (or any other oversteery car), might be worth taking out the good ol' Dualshock :P

Bought two today and it's undrivable.

WTF
Some say "homicidal".

Summary of the video below...

The Stratos’s handling is “controlled chaos”—wild but intoxicating. Key quirks:
  • Hyper-sensitive, ultra-light steering: tiny inputs make it dart; you drive it with finesse, not force.
  • Unpredictable behavior: the same corner can feel different twice—it’s alive, so mastery is elusive and addictive.
  • Chassis dance: instability isn’t a flaw but personality; it reacts with snap and pitch if you’re heavy-handed, rewarding smooth, trailing-throttle finesse.
  • Odd visibility/reference: wraparound glass and a steep nose mess with spatial cues, forcing the driver to learn its rhythm.
In short: it feels like partnering with a jittery, brilliant rally animal—thrilling if respected, brutal if not.

Language alert...

Based on prior Stratos experience in other games, so far I've resisted the temptation to buy this critter. The video makes me feel that while I'll never tame it, maybe I can persuade it to not kill me. If I'm respectful enough.
