i know this is going to sound really stupid but are land rovers really going to be in this game because that would be so cool and would they be mainly dirt racers if they are in the game

Nobody knows if they will be in the game or not. If they had races like the Dakkar rally they'd fit in, but since I doubt there will be races like that, I also doubt there will be land rovers.

You'll just have to wait like the rest of us, even though the entire GT4 forum would have you believe people around here have a clue, they do not.

During the testing pictures of PD there was a landrover I belive, along with some SUVs but of course nothing in final... so as of right now No is the answer, sorry...

Well I remember that they photographed/tested atleast 1 Land Rover & according to The359's list it was these 2:

Discovery HSE
Range Rover Vogue

So they could be in the game... :odd:

But the list could be false. Was it the official car list of GT4? If not , it could be false information.

List I'm referring to is The359's, those Land Rovers I mentioned have only been photographed (& I'm fairly sure his list is accurate) but not seen ingame.

It isn't known whether they'll actually be in GT4, as I said. ;)

hey
thanks for the help i guess i will wait for the game to come out but it would be really good if they were in but i am a little unsure about the choice of land rovers that might make it in

If a Land Rover does make it in it would likely be as a Bowler Wildcat.

They are Land Rover Defender based, but heavely modified for Rallye Raid events.

They featured in TOCA race driver 2 and are very quick.

Spec sheet for the national rally raid version is shown below, this version has the option of a 5 litre Land Rover/TVR engine. 0-60 times for the stage one tune on the 5 litre is 4.8 seconds.

yeah i know about the Rally Bowler but i mean like the Discovery is a 4x4 that is not quite a good racer i mean they could use something more like the Freelander sport
and the Overfinch Range Rover that has over like 300bhp

The Land Rover Range Stormer has been confirmed to appear in GT4 by both Land Rover and Top Gear magazine.

Given Ford's ongoing contribution to the series with their own cars as well as Jaguar and Aston Martin, it's quite possible - but, as has been repeatedly pointed out above, until we either see the final game or an official car list, this is all idle speculation.

yeah i do hope they are in the best choice of ones i think:

Range Rover V8 Vogue
Freelander Sport
Range Stormer Concept
Browler Rally Car
Defender 90

i would be in heaven if those cars made it into the final game

I think it would be foolish if PD tried to put off roaders in GT4, just because they need to sort out how the rally cars handle before taking on anything new. Just my opinion.

But u never know, maybe in GT5.

Cheers

Jamie

well it's not something that different and i mean not using them for just dirt courses like rally cars but like make a new section like sport SUV's it would make it a lot interesting

Apart from the Range Stormer being CONFIRMED.

I like to see the Land Rover Defender Tomb Raider Edition, 2002 Defender 110 pickup, 2002 Defender 90, and the 1st generation Range Rover. :)

I know this is a 'driving' simulator but you do very little 'driving' on roads and far more 'racing' on circuits. I know it'll probably spark conflict, but when I see people racing Land Rovers around a circuit, I think of those people racing go karts on grass or cardboard boxes - it just never seems like something you should take seriously, which the GT games are meant to be from all I can gather.

Man, Eagle! You're all over the place on the Planet, are you? :)

Anyhow, Land Rover, if what you say is true, then go nuts! A freaking Land Rover can be in your virtual garage by just waiting for GT4 to release. If there won't be a Land or Range Rover, sorry, buddy.
