Whilst coming back from Johnson City today, at Wallace Mitsubishi, I happened on this. From what I understand, the youth being held by the Bristol TN police was revving the car in the showroom with his foot on the clutch, and he dumped it at or near redline.

Someone did that in England in a Jaguar dealer.
They hid in a cupboard till closing time, slipped out b4 the alarm turned on, grabbed the keys to a £50 grand S-Type R (4.2 Supercharged V8, 400bhp), stuck it in Drive and floored it out through the glass windows. They were last seen going on a ferry to Europe before the car disappeared (probably broken for parts).

A dearlership that's apparently dumber than the kid that performed that stunt. Unless they were driving the car into the showroom floor for demonstration purposes...the cars still have to be driven inside. We've had a test drive fender-bender or two at my work, but nothing quite like that!

The little bit of Vice City in me isn't pleased that the traffic light pole stayed put!
