can only use Medium Tires), Super-soft Tires were used for

 Haahahahaa I don't ever use my F1's for time trials I think its no fun because they are -way- to good of cars to use on time trials! I like to use stock and SS tired cars! Makes it more fun!

Damn, those GT1 times are pretty slow...

i have 1:13:252 in a skyline r34 vspec 2 with max mods.

i love laguna and i think i could get sub 1:12 but i don't have the time or patience left to keep at it ! :D

57s lap in a P001 here. During the Laguna Seca enduro...

Impressive!

sub 57's in Free Run...I know of other guys who are quicker than this

15.563secs for me....................in my dreams

Oh I know... big p for a start (happily he's my teammate at GTL :D).

I think I get about a 1:03-1:04 on Laguna with the R390 and Toyota GT-One...:)

I'm a DS2 man, personally. And I'm in the minority of "reasonably good" drivers who use DS2 AND Chase view.

Don't get me wrong though - when I find a cheap Momo, I'm wheel all the way :D

i consider myself relatively good and use DS2 and Chase view. heh i completed gt1 and 2 without using the analog stick for left-right! :D i found i had more precision with the digital buttons esp in licenses. though the analog brake and gas buttons are great.

Yea Vinkento..I hate leguna aswell..very mucky course...I hate it almost as much as I hate Cote d'.......and I...*****ng HATE!!! Cote

You hate Laguna? Dude, Laguna is pimp, don't talk smack on Laguna. It's hella fun to watch Moto GP run that track, they wheelie like mad on the corkscrew, especially backwards. It's the most fun course to watch in AMA Superbike (out of the races I saw anyway).

Famine, you use chase cam? Damn, how do you do that? I can't see crap if I'm using chase cam and I can't tell when the back end breaks loose until it's too late to save it. I used it through most of the B license when I first started, but on B-8 I switched to 1st person and stuck w/ it.

I find the chin-view disorientating. Chase view allows me to place the car with much more precision. In chin-view I can't detect slides at all - in chase view I can correct them before they happen.

And I use the "digital" X and square buttons... :D

I like the Laguna circuit, I really used to dislike driving on it until I became relatively good at the game, I believe it tests some essential driving skills, and it has a lot of variety.
I use the inside view to drive aswell, and also use the original X button and square etc. to drive, it's just a habit I've had since GT1 and I don't see the point in changing now...

Unless i'm doing testing for the wheelie test i use the original button config and the stick to steer, juz feels more natural. (If i'm doing wheelies my thumb starts to get tired of holding down x, so I just put a rubber band around the right stick)

I use chase view as well...I can't control the car from the bumper cam...
Hey Famine, I might be picking up a Momo soon for only $200 AU...:D (About $120 US)

I don't like the "skateboard view" at all. It looks cool at SS & TC, but on road courses, it throws be completely off. I can't hit my marks. I also use the D-pad, that little joystick seems too vague & takes too long to move.
Laguna is not one of my favorite tracks either, but I'l post more times once I get back into the game. I've got a mild case of Carpal Tunnel, sitting with my hands in the "Lotus position" helps stretch the tendons, though.
Sorry if I went too far off topic.

Funny, I'm the other way around. DS2, first person view. I can't drive worth crap from chase view. And I'm too cheap to get a steering wheel.
