hey

got a couple of problems with my laptop and slowly getting worse, I haven't opened it up yet but I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems and if its worth trying to fix.

it started a couple of months ago, the headphone jack only works if you apply pressure on it (for example it on the front left corner so if you lean your elbow on it, it works, but soon cuts out) now for the past week or so the power keeps disconnecting and you have to push it or move it around a little to re connect and it disconnects a few times a day.

anyone else had this? if so did you manage to fix it or know what's wrong?

its an acer aspire 5745DG (3D) a couple of years old now (possibly 3 or 4) but trying to save as much money for my car as possible so id rather find a solution for a cheap repair then just replace the whole thing.

thanks in advance

Have you tried different headphones in the same laptop or the same headphones in a different device? If its definitely the laptop then you can either replace or repair, but whenever I have these problems it's because the headphone wire/s has/have snapped inside the insulation.

yeh its defiantly the laptop, I might open it and see if there is anything noticeable, as im going on holiday next week I might not have the chance for a while but ill come here to say what (if anything) I find, might be useful to someone else
