Alright, ever since the last, or 2nd last update, my Supra has been iffy.

To my knowledge, they are able to produce a maximum of 725 HP. Mine went down from that; to 712.... What happened?!

I figured, allright; it's time to change the oil. Nope. I had gotten the car with very low Ks. Then i thought... "Engine rebuild?". Same deal.

Somehow i also remember the max power being generally higher before in general, and they all got their max power lowered after full tuning? Mine seems to have gotten the Sand-baggage bug. I remember seeing around 780HP...Or maybe im confusing that with the torque reading...Could have sworn they put out more than 725. Anyhow, what's up with my Supra not making over 712 HP?

I think it's the last/second-last update.

Or...?

I swear,i haven't been revving it hard before the engine warms up. :odd:

You might want to check the power limiter settings, however silly it may seem, it is very possible that you could have adjusted it and forgot to reset…also, are you sure you've got all the parts on? It could just be something as simple as an exhaust that's causing it. It's odd that you should suddenly lose 13hp with a low mileage one.

The supra has had 725 since inception in gt5

Youre tripping. Good advice above me, also, tell us how many miles your car has. I've seen engine wear come in around 6-8k miles

How many miles are on your supra? Are you aware that GT5 models permanent bhp loss?

PERMANENT? Wha...? I thought you regain your lost power with an oilchange from wear. And eventually have to do a rebuild. I've tried both, checked my power limiter, checked all parts. It's completely jacked up. It has less than 10,000 Kilometres.

I swear...None of this is BS...Maybe it's actually putting out 725, just not reading correctly? Is that possible?

I've tried doing the aforementioned months ago, when i noticed the problem... It's the first thing i did as soon as i noticed it in game.

Yes, you read it correctly. Permanent bhp power loss. Although I can't remember at what distance when you first start to permanently lose bhp. But it won't be like losing 100 bhp. Maybe you would only lose about 15-40 bhp maximum depending on how old your cars are. Also, if you don't rebuild the engine or change the oil on a regular basis, then you will speed up the permanent bhp loss process.

If you really like that Supra though, the power loss isn't permanent per se. You should have recieved some Refresh Cards a few months back. These should restore the car to as new condition (although all your modifications will stay on the car).

Does anyone have a extra 95 and up supra? Just the normal car not race. I can't find one il trade you what ever you want! Sorry didn't mean to jack the thread!

That's just the thing. I mentioned it in the initial post. I CAN'T do an engine rebuild. It won't let me. And i can't do an oil change. The car doesn't have much mileage on it. 80,000 KMs.

Not like it's 400,000.

Maybe it's a glitch... Or i guess they made it realistic, in the sense that; it's a used car. The previous owner was a complete idiot ? :)

Think it could be resolved by giving it to someone, and trading it back? Maybe having someone do a rebuild FOR me, if it applies to them. If not...Oh well. I'll probably just sell it. Anyone looking for a Mark IV Supra TT?

That sounds about right. You start losing permanant power after 3500-4500 miles, or 6000 KMs. ~45,000 miles would give you roughly a 7-10hp loss, depending on the car, so thats where your power went. If you use a restore car coupon, in your items menu on GT World, you can bring it back to 0 miles but you may want to check in the Marketplace instead since you only get a limited amount of the coupons.

Where did people get "Restore Car" coupons? I didn't know that such an item existed.

You got them when you updated to spec 2 (version 2.0). We got 10 of those, 10 engine restore, and 10 chassis maintenance tickests. Look in GT Auto.

I got engine restore, chassis restore, oil and wash tickets. Never heard anything about the restore car coupon until now.

- A gift to those purchasing the DLC's
We will be giving out an additional car; the Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SPL. and five New Car Refresh cards to customers purchasing any of the DLC packs released in October 2011.
The New Car Refresh can be used from the Special Coupons option in the items list, and will return your car to its brand new condition (before breaking-in the car's engine). Equipped parts and current paint on the car will not be affected by this card.
* This gift will be available by purchasing anything from Course Pack, Racing Car Pack, Racing Gear Pack, Paint Pack and Complete Pack.

The car restoration tickets can not be gifted.

These "refresh" coupons only got sent to main accounts not sub accounts.

I've been selling all my cars over 10,000km and rebuying. Amazing how much more horses I'm seeing. Permanent loss never stops and starts around 15,000km

So you have to buy a DLC pack to get them? That would explain why I don't have them.

My supra just took these.

Permanent power loss starts at 15000 km. At 265000 km, all, power loss stops, at 5% power lost. This cannot be recovered (except maybe with a refresh card).

It doesn't sound like that's the problem you're having though, but I just thought it was relevant information.

As far as I know, permanent power loss doesn't happen until 9300 miles/15000 kilometers. Until then, regular oil changes and engine rebuilds should allow you to maintain max power.
