Does anybody know, if you start the 24 hour endurance in wet conditions with that tyre/track indicator reading 100% (under the position display) if it stays wet for the whole race, only i'm just over an hour into it and it's doing my head in!

Just restart race until you get no rain. easy, and hope it won't rain again (based on my experienced it is possible).

I've done nearly 2 hours - i'm not going to just dismiss 2 hours of racing! Either way, the car is going around the track it's just wet weather with 900+bhp is doing my head in!

Which is why you do the race in the Escudo Pikes Peak. Unlike previous games, in this game, the thing actually has some half-decent handling and can still do 3:30s in the dry. Four-Wheel Drive means you won't have as many issues with wet weather, especially if you keep it to 50-50 power ratio.

I always wondered if rain was actually 100% random. Or if there are set times per race load that have a pre loaded weather order in them..

That sounds Challenging.....I wish you could only get credit for completing these challenges if you remain within 110% of the Highest PP in the race or something. Pretty sure just about any noob could beat the challenge in that car.

Dry weather until about an hour after daybreak. Hour 14. Wet meter climbs to 100% very slowly. I'm 6 laps ahead and rain tires don't wear nearly as long as dry tires, I'm afraid that I might lose my lead before the race ends. Sauber Mercedes has too much power in the rain, aids off.

Sharpie,
Put on intermediates and you should be golden. If you can do ~4 minute laps you actually increase your lead in the wet.

Apart from the glare of headlights on the waterspray form other cars when overtaking it is much easier to build a lead in the wet. Oh.. and pit as soon as the tyres are 1/3 or so.

Just think of what real life Le Mans racing drivers have to go through? :yuck:

One thing i've noticed through this race; every time i come back to it the car is in as-new condition. All it's knocks and scrapes are back to normal.

If you knock over the green things inside some of the turns, they get reset too when you reload.

I expected the oil light to come on near the end of my 24 hours at Le Mans but it never did, does the game reset your oil status too?

I think it must do. I accidently started my race in a rather leggy Peugeot 908 without 1st doing an oil change. So far, 14 hours into it i've got no oil light. Oh, and it's still raining. One things for sure though - when it comes to doing my next wet race online i'm gonna trounce everyone!
