Hey guys, I've just finished my A-spec 24hrs of Le Mans, driving an unbelievable 13 hrs of it in pouring rain! I had rain during my first three hours, night was dry - but from my 14th hour until the end it was wet-wet-wet! Did you have smilar experiences during that race? I mean, 13 hours is an awful lot.

I know it is not the same but my dad was racing Bob in the Suzuka 1000Km and it rained for the whole race. It ended up going for 9 hours or so.

13 Hours is not a lot of Rain.. especially in Scotland. But it Rained on my last trip to Le Mans, like Scotland it's an area of the world that's very beautiful even when it is raining.

And it is typical to get rain during the Race in real life as well as in GT5.. That's what makes it such a test, but congratulations on completing it.

Loch Le Mans?
Germany weather is generally described as 'temperate', which does mean well watered.

Racist! :D

What's Germany got to do with it? 💡

Apparently the Nordschleife is in Scotland as well, because Bob is now driving the 24h and it looks like he's swimming in the FGT.

I've changed my mind: It's good Scottish weather mother. The rain is falling straight down - ahh - slightly sideways.

From my all-time favourite movie "BRAVEHEART" :)

I have to agree :)

Although for the last week the weather here has been lovely!
Don't be racist against Scottish weather lol

You could have picked out much wetter places :P

Hmm.. Well where I live it's never that wet lol.

actually looking at the registration plate on the Mondeo Estate it is fuzzy but looks like it isnt set like a UK plate :P

you have say S4 56 CT

on a uk plate it should be S456 CTR

actually looking at the registration plate on the Mondeo Estate it is fuzzy but looks like it has too much to be a UK plate :P

It's an Opel Astra. And it's in the Netherlands, Hilversum to be precise.
Happened four times in the 6.5 years I lived in that street.

Thankfully I'm gone now.

'Old' Dutch plates are like:
XX-XX-XX
With at least one pair being number. And at least one pair must be letters So:
19-AB-CD
AB-19-CD
AB-CD-19
19-19-AB
19-AB-19
AB-19-19

are the normal possibilities

But because we ran out of plates, (since they belong to a car, not to a person)
we also have combinations like:
1-ABC-15 and inthe end that can deliver:
too many types
X-XXX-XX
X-XX-XXX
XX-XXX-X
XX-X-XXX
XXX-X-XX
XXX-XX-X

That means there are
ABC-11-1
ABC-AA-1
ABC-11-A
ABC-1-AA
ABC-1-11
ABC-A-11
111-AB-1
111-AB-A
111-11-A
111-1-AB
111-A-11
AB-ABC-1
AB-111-A
AB-A-111
AB-1-ABC
11-ABC-1
11-111-A
11-1-ABC
11-A-111
1-11-ABC
1-AB-111
1-111-AB
1-ABC-11
A-11-ABC
A-AB-111
A-111-AB
A-ABC-1

27 possibilites instead of 'just' 6.. So these won't run out within 50 years hopefully :+

I'd like to say it isn't raining right now.

And I ran this race in glorious sunshine in B-Spec for the full 24 hours. Nurburgring 24 hours on the other hand... rained for more than half of the race.
