I didn't really do the last glitch much just cause it was so annoying, but I'm getting bored having nothing left to do but grind for days and than buy some cars I don't have. PD needs to make the races give a lot more money. The 4 hr endurance race u get no money to do it and I dont understand why. It takes so long and u have to do it straight so it should be huge money. And the 24 hr should give u 10 million right away because it's insane.
 
The "glitchers" are providing PD with free beta testing. PD should be sending these people a check.

There's so many ways that break out glitches could have been prevented by either having a sector system, or better collision detection. You're telling me it's the fault of the glitchers for exposing an obvious weakness in the way PD chose to confine the tracks?

Fanboys really need to stop excusing PD and blaming the customers for everything that's wrong with this game. I love GT as much as the next person, and I think it's perfectly normal for the fans to be holding the game to the same standard as Kaz seems to claim he does.

All you whiners are the same ones telling people to "create your own room" whenever people bring up valid flaws in the online system. So how about you stfu and "create your own room"?

LMAO! This is hilarious. It's like some people want to buy the game & finish it in 3 days!? The point of the GAME is to start with a shoestring budget & progress to the point where you can buy just about any car you want & then get yourself back up to that scenario again. And again. etc. Oh, and to enjoy lots & lots of DRIVING along the way... (I haven't even tried the rubber band thing - what's the point?)

How can anybody enjoy a-spec races?

The KI sucks, the events suck, you always race on the same tracks.

The online payout is horrible, it would take years of dominating 16 people online races, just to get enough money for a 20 million car.

A-spec is almost as horrible as online, but there are some "exploits" like indy98, in which you can earn alot of money very "fast". But its boring. Earning money is boring in this game because...
- most races have very bad payout
- most races have stupid restrictions (dream car challenge... it would make up for some epic showdowns in "normal" cars if it weren`t for this stupid XJR9!), so races become boring
- Bumper AI!
- bad event collection... a JGTC event in which cars like a x2010 or gt-one can take part... a JGTC event which is only (IIRC) 3 races long, which only last 10 laps... Oh, and the payout sucks

So aslong as your not one of those "content for years" customers, who want to fool themselves with saying "this game has enough content to last for years", you will probably farming money with b-spec (this gameplay mode is the stupidest one I ever encountered in a game, not only that its boring, bob drives like Yuji Ide on steroids) or doing Indy98k.
 
To all the uptight ones if you were playing the game instead of being on the forum you would not know about glitches and you might be farther then level 2. So go play your game and earn your fake cars and fake credits. I'm here to see what more there is to the game because after 40 K plus miles, I'm past being bored with grinding indy, I have a life so playing the game how I want is more of an interest to me then playing 24hrs straight. If I remember correctly I bought my copy of the game not someone else. Let me play my game how I want, you go play your game how you want because I don't care how you play your game, and I don't care if you have no life outside GT5 that's your life live it how you want.
 
lol at the folk still crying about the glitchers. get over it will you and move on. its not you doing it so leave them alone. there will be glitchers no matter what the game is, FACT!!! stop moaning about them and get on with your lifes lol glitching is a part of gaming and will never be stopped.
 
I think PD should fire all their game testers.

Actually PD fixed all of these money exploits already by resetting any car that exits the track. Yes you can still break out of the track but you can't do much anymore :)

You can also break out in other tracks. It's very easy to find an exit. But the car will just reset back on the track once you're too far out of the track.
 
WHY haven't they actually fixed so that checkpoints actually ARE checkpoints..?

Yep, I went into la sarthe online yesterday and watched a couple guys spend 10-15 minutes trying to break out, only to be reset back onto the track once they did break out. I watched it happen a few times...
 
to me the real issue isnt how poor the payouts are, but how hard it is to keep money on hand for when the UCD has something you want...I"m forever missing cars and I know some of them wont show up again for game months or years. With glitching, the money was not an issue, which made running races just to advance the UCD listing was fun and productive.

They really need a change that would work for all tracks instead of going around patching each little hole when it is found. As it is now there is going to be no end to these glitches and patches. Possibilities would include more than 2 checkpoints per track or if a car goes more than a certain distance off course than it gets booted back on course.

18 people viewing thread....75 responses in less than a day for a break out that as far as i can tell lands you nothing more than back in the track eventually.

I glitched all the way from 32-38 (ssr7) then from 39-40 (Nurb) and collected about
100m credits in the process.
There's no way on Earth I would have sat there for months on end grinding for the cash to buy the cars I (now) enjoy driving. I would have simply stopped playing the game, so im MY opinion the glitches have actually extended the games lifespan for me.
Now I have about 350 different cars to choose from and 20mil in the bank to tune them up.
Like I say, I would have stopped playing long ago if it wasn't for the 2 glitches.

Sadly, there's probably a lot of great cars I'll never get to drive as offline gets too boring and online will never fund it, and I'll probably never bother glitching, even if ways to do it persist. If PD thought that this was the way to keep people playing for five years, they were WRONG.
 
I'm disappointed in the fact PD are acting as if this is a huge problem and fixing the small things faster than the more important issues.

Truth is, they are probably fixing the bigger issues, just taking more time, while these small issues are "easy fixes".

I went from level 36 and 350 cars to almost level 40 and 1005 cars in 2 weeks.... no way I would have bothered grinding to get to that.
 
This is why reality tv is a multi billion dollar business. Everyone is so concerned with what everyone else is doing instead of minding their own business. Someone said that glitchers must be bored. Well you must be even more bored. That or your subscription to "what the hell people are doing in their lives" magazine must be late in your mailbox. I'm so sure every thread on here consist of people bickering about facets of this game and it makes you (the complainers) look like asses. And to top it off I love when people make suggestions on how to fix stuff when what they should do is get an education apply to work for said company and fix it yourself. I have an idea for you all. Give away your game and pick up something else.

Yeah, or how about 135 days.
This game has been out for months, suggesting I've been in a rush to complete the game is ridiculous.

I've completed the game almost entirely other than some gold trophies. I want to be able to buy some new cars and just drive for the fun of driving, if they aren't going to reward a decent amount of credits for fair racing, then the only way to get any enjoyment out of the game is to trick the system.
 
For me I think these glitches have let me to enjoy the game. Whether your one of those 'purists' that think this defies the point of the game then fair enough, but now I can drive around the nurburgring in the cars that would have taken me months to save up, and I thank the people who found the glitches!
Not all of us have the time or the life to constantly do races over and over again to earn a pathetic amount of money and xp.
 
The fact that you get sent back to the track when you break out, has literally almost killed glitching all together.

Believe it or not some peoples goals start after game completion. For me it's mainly having the right car with the right specs for an organized race event :dopey:

If it is fact then I'd say not literally or almost, I'd say has killed. I've not been able to play the game in 3 days or more so I can't confirm or add anything worth while to the thread.

Unlike All the complaining and arguing going back in forth. It is childish, good thing I have a childish sense of humor. That Charlie Sheen post was pretty lol :lol:

(A different spot perhaps... because the Checkpoint is next to the Start/Finish line still, the 1.5second burnout would still be possible)

Exactly, people will continue to try and exploit the system unless PD somehow correct the insane amount of grinding needed to buy cars and reach lvl 40.

The fact is, I'm not the kind of person who will leave their X2010 grinding all night at Indy, because mine is an 80gb 'fat' model that is has been used a lot since I got it.

I'm not going to go much further with GT5. I am not saying its a bad game but simply just too short in A-Spec and it takes and absolutely ridiculous amount of time to get the cars you REALLY want. Online isn't fun for me either.

Shift 2 has come out, and so I doubt I'll be on GT5 unless I'm remote racing.
 
I hate the fact people can glitch all the cars and money they want like this. There's me online thinking "This is a rare car, perhaps someone else will have another rare car we can trade or talk about?" but no. There are no rare cars anymore.

I bet you all know how annoying the Buggati is online when in the hands of a crappy driver, so now any driver of any skill can access the fastest cars and ruin it for everyone else online who wants to share their love for cars and driving.

I'm sure some of you just don't have the time to earn the more expensive cars, but by advocating this glitching it means that not just you, but all the people who don't give a damn about proper racing get one up on us honest collectors.

I'd totally agree with a "Time Saver" DLC which gave the people who have no time, the resources to enjoy the game how they want and filter out the kids and idiots driving around in Gold Plated X1's in their masses.
