Im using the chapparel 2J on sports softs without pitting as long as you keep the bar in the red untill lap 8 where you just leave your guy to it you should win by about 13seconds :) im running a level 38 bob :sly:

Can you list your car and setup, even include power, balast and weight. Thanks cause my bob (lvl 39-half way to 40) cant do it with a nomad:guilty:

This setup is what I threw on the car for this event. Bob always likes softer rear suspension than I do, and in the rain wants it softer still.

I don't claim this setup is optimized. But it works every time for me with level 40 Bob.

Mobil 1 NSX

Aero: 30/60
Ballast: 0

Suspension:
RH 0/0
SR 14.0/12.5
DE 8/6
DC 8/6
ARB 6/4

Cmb 1.0/0.5
Toe 0.10/0.20

Trans: Stock
Turbo: Medium (adjust power to 600PP)
Tires: Sport Soft

The tires are the key. Bob will run the full race without pitting and have good tires the whole way.

Just give him a couple of pace ups at the start to get him going, and he'll win.

My Bob usually takes the lead or is second when the AI pits. After that he sails away. The AI may gain a little when they have race hard tires on but they'll never catch him.

Sometimes you'll get a couple of those dog-slow Lexus cars in the middle of the pack, and they will cause a big gap. If the front pack is running too far ahead your Bob may go cold before he catches them. This is the only time my Bob has failed to win, because I wasn't around to help him. Just give him a few pace ups and he'll catch up.

If you are coaching Bob, let him go cold starting on lap 6. For some reason my Bobs will start making stupid mistakes on lap 6 or 7 if they are above the blue, running off course 2 or 3 times a lap. The tires are still in great shape and they have plenty of strength left. I assume the track gets greasy for some reason.

Using this setup my level 39 Bob just took the lead in the chicane on lap 3. His fast lap was 7 seconds faster than the AI.

Spa is a better time/money return though. 4 million for 20-ish minutes, and much easier than the La Sarthe one.
True to a point, but I still can't get Bob to win without micromanaging his ass, even with lvl 39 or 40 drivers.

I finally won Le Sarthe last night and I've pretty much decided that it's much easier if you have the right car (Chapparal 2J) than Spa unless you have high level bobs. My level 31 Bob won by a second and a half with me just keeping him out of the deep blue. He would have won by more but he spun it on the 8th lap. ~Turtle

Thats pretty much the same with my L40 Bob - in fact, he burnt his tires quicker than the other 38 and 37 bobs I've used on this race and I had to pit on lap 7. His temper is in the middle so I kept his bar in the middle all the way round. Yet the other Bobs dont need to pit at all. I think my L40 Bob needs to become an F1 pundit or something!!!:indiff:

Did you up the top speed? I got half way through the field by the time they pitted first, took the lead, and then I was making time on the R8! :crazy:
By the time they pitted for the second time, I was already more than 40 seconds ahead. But yes, with keeping my driver at a decent pace.

As for grinding, as has been noted, Spa is much better. No input needed and better Cr/min ratio.

The 2J works perfect on La Sarthe with Sport Soft and no pitting. Just keep te pace on 60-70%....

The Spa I tried with the Nomad, also on sport soft..again no pitting, but if I don't push the pace, it will end up #4th.... :(

I don't understand why you would grind Sarthe. My bob can only win if I pamper him for 40 minutes. He can win Spa without any help.

+ Spa wins you more money in a shorter time

Spa: 160.000/min (+- 25 min -> 8.000.000 in 50 min)
Sarthe: 150.000/min (+- 40 min -> 6.000.000 in 40 min)

Thanks so much, I followed your instructions exactly and a win without any assistance is so easy.
