Leaderboards ?

Any news on the possiblity of getting leaderboards added into the game. For me the biggest issue with GT is that there is no way to track and compare lap times with other gamers in our favorite tuned cars. Myself and most of my friends have moved back to Forza mostly because of this phase of the game which is missing in GT5.

If only they would add the leaderboard system I know lots of people who would be racing daily but as is they have pretty much stopped.

If I got a pound for every time I saw a thread about leader boards I could buy Premium for everyone on the site. Basically, not in GT5, maybe GT6. They put a lot of strain on the severs though.

If we're looking at pinching ideas from Forza it should be the custom paint jobs they can do, it lets you really personlize your car!

Custom paint is cool, but imo leaderboards are a must. I would rather every car in the game be solid gray with leaderboards than the most elaborate painting engine one has ever seen and no leaderboards.

I remember back shortly after the game came out Kaz mentioned that leaderboards would be coming but as of yet all we have are leaderboards for the weekly time trials. We need real leaderboards where we can record and compare times in all sorts of cars on all tracks not just the cars and track they have picked for that week.

IMO this is where Forza stands tall above GT5 and also IMO the only place it beats it.

I said pretty much the same thing as you about Forza only beating this game because it has leaderboards.👍

Something along the lines of Forza's rivals mode would be good enough for me (spec and tuned leaderboards) as there are far to many cars for them to do what they did on prologue. Having leaderboards for just the premium cars I would be more than happy with.

I have actually come back to GT5 as like you (apart from there being no leaderboards) I find GT5 to be the better game. The leaderboards in Forza as usual are broken, so from my point of view Forza may as well not have them. Check this thread I opened on FM.net to see all the problems, and it's not just muscle cars.

How not having leaderboards seemed to not be one of the top priorities is beyond me, some of the features that made it into GT5 (helmets and suits) are pointless additions.

The feedback section of this site had the same problem where leaderboards were overlooked for minor features that could of waited. I am not holding out any hope this game is ever going to get them, or GT6 for that matter as obviously this feature wasn't important to most of the GTP community
