Least Favorite Track

I'm surprised by the lack of love for Silverstone. It's a great track - very challenging and technical - and of course it's an important and historic circuit, something we need much more of in Forza.

Love Hockenheim too, even if it lacks the character of the old forest course. I've had some really good races there already.

What's your least favorite track in Forza 4?

Not a new addition to the series, but... I personally can't stand Road America.

Road America, Road Atlanta, basically all of the real american tracks except Laguna Seca and Infineon.

I think I have to take some of my bad words about the Alps track back. In a proper car, with proper mates it's actually good fun!

There's one tolerable layout that's decent fun in A class, I think it's either Stadplatz or Club Circuit, reversed.

I HATE Silverstone, it doesn't matter what game I'm playing, I can never find my rhythm round it

I loathe Sedona, always have. Also not a fan of Iberian, Alps or Maple Valley. So most of the original tracks :D
Hate Indy :grumpy:

Road America I suppose.
Although I don't dislike it that much I actually love all the tracks.

Sedona has to be my absolute least favorite followed by Hockenheim, Twin Ring Motegi and Suzuka (I'm just really bored with Suzuka). At first I didn't like Infinion either but after running it many, many times I'm really enjoying it now. My most favorites are Maple Valley (I like the new covered bridge addition), Laguna Seca and Le Mans. The Alps track is a nice new addition. It looks great but will take getting used to.

Second most hated track is definitely Silverstone. It just has no flow, it's a bunch of awful turns connected by overly long and wide straights. Too many steady-state slow turns that go 180 degrees or more.

Erm..., 180 degrees or more? 180 degrees would have you going right back the way you came. Few tracks have as much as 180 degrees in a single turn. Most of Silverstone's turns are 90 or below. Stowe might be about 100 degrees and Brooklands might be 150-ish. The only corner that's anywhere near 180 degrees is Luffield, which might be more like 200 degrees.

This is a 90-degree turn:

Same here, name any single original tracks and I just don't like them... That, in exception of the Touge, forgot the name.

Sebring might be my next least favourable track because after some number of laps, I just couldn't get around it cleanly.

Every post I see from you is a smart ass reply to something you've blown way out of proportion, obviously he got his 90's and 180's muddled up, was there such a need for your troll post?

Well I'm counting 4 90 degrees corners at Silverstone.
I can see where people may think its a bland track but fortune favours the brave at Silverstone. You can attack a lot of the corners and put a lot of distance between you and others. It can also go horribly wrong and your off.

Personally I like Silverstone and it's layouts. Visually it is boring though.
Full length version is only suited to fast or reasonably fast cars.
No F class around here lol.

Am I the only one that can do without Road America? I can't get into the tracks that are longer than average layouts, but not as long as the long circuits such as Le Sarthe. I dread every time Road America comes up and it is more than two laps. Same can be said for the long course at Sedona and the full Camino Viejo circuit. Not that they are necessarily bad tracks, but they just drag on.

What do you guys think the ugliest track is? I say Sedona, ugly dust bowl with bland colour palette.

I used to loathe Sedona in FM3 but for some reason, of the few times I've been on that track, I don't hate it so much. Maybe it's the tweak to the physics or the extra polish or the fact that I haven't driven the fastest cars on it yet but it went from me hating it with a passion to I don't mind at all.

Don't have one track that I like the least just yet. Silverstone was always a hit or miss for me depending on the car but I think after all the racers I've played on it, I've gotten used to it.

There are actually quite a bit of tracks that I don't like.

Road America, Silverstone, Maple Valley Short, Top Gear, Bernese Alps and most annoying Ovals. These all bore me. Though I can tolerant Silverstone.

Iberian, Ladera, Camino Mini and Camino Short are too small for real racing.

That doesn't leave me much to like.

EDIT: I forgot about the Dragstrips. HATE THEM!! Lol.

I thinks that's the problem with it. At least for me anyway. It is a nice fast track but there's no real challenge to it. It's too simple.

Circuit Length 2.4 kilometres
Race Direction Anti-clockwise
Top Speed 270km/h
Average Speed 167km/h
Description of the Circuit A short yet fast lap characterises the Symmons Plains layout. The turn four hairpin and left hander at the end of the back straight are the two best passing opportunities. Brakes are worked very hard with drivers standing on the ‘middle pedal’ hard twice a lap within half a minute of one another.

This description comes from a page where the V8 SUPERCARS just raced, did I mention V8 SUPERCARS. After watching that race I have now thrown out the idea of a track being "too short for real racing"

I like most of the tracks except for the following...

  • Rally di Positano (I think this track is way too narrow and there isn't much room available for passing without bumping into your opponent.
  • Circuit de Catalunya
  • Sedona Raceway Park: Circuit
  • Sedona Raceway Park: Speedway (not the oval course but the other road course)
  • Camino Viejo de Monserrat: Extreme Circuit

Rally di Positano and Mazda Laguna Seca are my least favourite tracks. I actually really like Silverstone, it does have flow and I also like Sedona a lot! My favourite track is Twin Ring Motegi full :)
