As you all know about the Most Favourite Corner post going around.. Lets see what everyone thinks is the least favourable Turn in the game?
in my oppinion, the worst turn on Gran Turismo 5, is the 1st turn in daytona road coarse! Not only do you always get SMACKED in the rear as soon as the race STARTS, but in future laps, when you are doing 200mph into it, cars react so weird to it, not to mention trying to dodge people that dont use the proper Coarse Re-Entering edicate, and go straight from the Pits infront of full speed cars >:-( Anyone Else have any corners worth an honourable mention for: GT5's Toughest/Worst Turns! :dunce:

I hate all of daytona road course OP...... But my most hated turns are either the first turn on TGTT, or the carousel on nür.

carousel- the Ring. I almost never get it right and the back end decides it wants to lead

Exactly why I put it, my front end will point at the gutter. Even if I try an creep around it my back tire seem to feel the need to try an become the leaders.

The Variante del Rettiflio in Monza, it just ruins the whole track. Same with the two Mulsanne chicanes in Sarthe, and the Nouvelle chicane in Monaco.

Chicanes ruin tracks :grumpy:

I think its called galgenkopf or something similar, the last turn before you get onto the long straight on the ring. For some reason I can not judge it and often end up making friends with the grass and/or wall.

First corner at daytona is horrible, have to agreee.
First corner at london is horrible aswell, its always slower than i expect, no matter how many times i do it.

While I love the track the carousel gets me every time, I know it cost me a sub 7. also hate the first at Daytona RC.

Indy

I don't dislike any corner. They are all a challenge to me to get through them with as much speed and as little off track driving.

I have three in this order.

1. Last tunnel corner on Grand Valley Full forward. Makes any car understeer.
2. First corner of Daytona Road Course. As explained by OP.
3. First left hand corner on TTGT. I can never get it right but The Stig makes it look so easy.

haha looks like the big ones carousel at the ring, Daytona RC, and the last turn at tokyo, are the really big names in this thread :P

The final corner on R246 kills me every time.

Nail that corner with ease everytime!!

Only because im travelling slowly from smashing into the barrier on the outside of the left hander before the final corner, no matter how much I brake I judge it wrong and it never seems to be enough :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Also, I dislike the large jump at Cape Ring; not only is it dangerous, but it is also unrealistic. "24 Hours of Cape Ring: Come one, Come all! See the spectacle as LMP's and GT cars are literally thrown into the air...all night long! Can you stand the CAR-NAGE??? Presented by Polyphony Digital."

Tsukuba Circuit - the hairpin before the back straight. I just cannot get it right and always turn right into the corner too early...

All chicanes. Chicanes suck.
The first corner of the Daytona Road Course.
The Porsche Curves on Le Sarthe.
That last corner on the Tokyo R246.

First turn at The Ring. I've taken that turn more times than any of the others (by a longshot) and still botch it and lose time around half the time.

If I could offer some insight to turn 1 as I've been through it more times than I care to count in real life... The reason the car wants to twitch so bad is that the slight left entry into the corner causes the rear of the car to become neutral and unfortunately there isn't really a cure here. Downforce over the rear does help some but it's not all that matters. If you add more front brake the rear end comes around, if you add more rear brake the rear end still comes around, if you set the car up for oversteer on that track well good luck to you, if you set it up for understeer you'll plow right through turn 1. When I'm racing there in real life I will typically brake much earlier than GT5 tells you to, but only about quarter pressure just to get the car settled on the suspension for entry, right before I come off the "banking" of the tri-oval I'll usually quickly dial in a tad bit more rear brake between my downshift from 5th to 4th, usually only one click to the rear, sometimes two depending on tire wear. I guess the real key is to keep the car as straight as possible and go wider than you think you have to in order to keep a straight braking line, turning and braking don't mix especially from high speed.

If you think it's difficult in the game, try coming through the tri-oval and 300kph and having to brake down for the real turn, I'd say 99% of the guys out there, including myself could run a full second faster lap if turn 1 wasn't so terrifying.

turn 3 laguna seca.
Again I've raced here in real life, most guys run 3rd gear to the limit before getting into turn 3, often times you'll ride the limiter for a second or two. The distance between 2 and 3 is what makes this corner hard, you want to go up another gear but then you'll have to go down two so one makes more sense but yet you want that extra little bit yet you don't....gets you thinking. It's a slow in average speed out corner, you can easily make up for a lost tenth here by getting 4 right however.

The first, second, third corners of the Nurg GP track.

Somehow those corners in combo; are a big off for me.

the carosell is the worst ever! ):<
