Legendary cars dealer refresh

It was one of my favourite cars in GTS, so I had to have it in GT7.
I've been lapping it at various courses against the '66 Cobra, and that car puts the Daytona into perspective. Even in stock form the Cobra has 50 ft lb greater torque and man does it make a difference: the Daytona drives like a refined modern luxury sedan compared to the Cobra! So I've been testing it against other 60's beasts like the 330 P4, GT40 MkIV and GT40 Mk1 and I've got it running almost as quick as them, all of which have some real downforce (compared to 20/20 on the Daytona) and it's still keeping a pretty steady pace against them even without being able to carry as much speed through the corners.

It's a far, far better driving car than my initial impressions, even with the super charger. Just have to know when the rear is wanting to kick-out and back off a bit on the throttle. Still haven't really even properly tuned the suspension yet either.

It's a shame we can't add a couple hundred pounds of downforce as I think it might be a contender against the 330 P4, GT40 MkIV, and XJ13 if so. Was kind of regretting the purchase at first but it's quickly becoming one of my favorite cars.

Anyone have an idea when the XJ13 might pop up again? Somehow I missed it the first time (and I wouldn't have had the credits anyway!)

I hope it's a repeating cycle so that we can have a hope of estimating when cars we want are available. It's not as if building up the bank is that quick.

Tune is attached. It's done for 800pp Sardegna race. I haven't tested it at 730pp, I was working with the premise that I essentially could do any changes and it wouldn't take me over 800. If I had to tune to 730, I would up the height first. This is based on 2 full races and quite a few restarts lol. I don't think this is my final tune as the car still seems to struggle on high speed turns like the last Sardegna turn. So there is still work left to be done but it gets you through a race well enough. LSD settings are aggressive so you can dial them back if you want a more stable ride. If I make any changes, I'll let you know!

EDIT: also, the +5 brake balance eats through your tires so if you're trying to save tires, move the balance forward
What best lap time it set ?
Going to get it and use it for this too ... not because its fast mind but because its interesting. Turning into my new grind this because lots to choose from at the pp .

Will the Castrol Supra be 1.5M again? I got it pre order, but was a little annoyed the Pennzoil was 2.5M. Why the upcharge over the Supra?
To be honest, I'm having more fun with the 800k NSX GT500 than the Pennzoil.

It's kind of odd that a game that charges this much for cars (plus won't allow you to sell them) doesn't let you test drive them first. As someone who plays 5 hours a week at most, I blew most of my money on the Pennzoil and am feeling let down. Next up is the Alfa for 800k, which seems like a great deal.

OK here is an APPROXIMATE list of when cars will next be on sale. This is based on two things, cars appearing on a cycle of 74 days and the cars appearing in the same order. If there is some variance, they will be off by a few days.

If it becomes clear the order is completely different I'll delete this as it'll be useless but otherwise this should give you a rough idea of the dates, give or take a day or two.

It's a classic with near 0 aero downforce, so it's naturally very unruly compared to modern race cars. I had an enjoyable drive with it in the 700pp Le Mans and championship events after throwing on racing tires and making some suspension tweaks.

It’s not bad to drive at all, and this is on the stock CS tires. I’m sure it will be great on RH. 👍

I think I got down to mid 1:39's on fuel 6 and I'm not exactly the fastest driver. Also I usually drive automatic so this car is making me learn manual as it can't get through half the race if you use auto transmission. The few laps that I did on better fuel, I ran into heavy traffic. So there's definitely a few seconds left on the table with better driving, shifting, fuel.

If your prediction is accurate (which I believe it will be, maybe with some slight differences in car order), my final car will be the Ferrari 500 Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe at the end of this month.

And about 10 (minus DB5 and Z432 which I got as prize cars) of the cars I miss will be updated in a row (the first ones of the list).

It's not available to test-drive anywhere I know of. However it is MUCH easier to drive than the 427 Cobra. It's still a bit slippery, especially when supercharged (540-ish HP and about 430ft lb torque with high-end Super and intercooler) but it's much closer in handling characteristics to the GT40 MK1 than the 427 Cobra.

Unlike the Cobra, I've been able to adjust the over/under-steer to my liking much easier, though in completely stock form it's pretty great. Just in case you're wondering it MIGHT top out close 700PP. With the super/intercooler and RH it's around 670. With RS's and the permanent engine upgrades it might get into the 690-700PP range. So it's meant to be a competitor to the 250 GTO, not the 330 P4/XJ13/GT40, but only because it has essentially no downforce.

If you've got a ton of credits from the Tomahawk grind, I'd say go for it. I don't regret buying it and have been having a great time testing it on various tracks against other cars of its era. If you've only got 20mil, I'd hold off simply because there isn't really any races that pay well where it can reasonably compete.

Thank you sir
