This is a series where we run crappy cars (hence the name Lemons. NOT LE MANS - GOT THAT!!!???) Originally, this was a 100 miles series, but I figured it's a little too long.

Group A - read "Group Discussion" below - will be using cars with the following restrictions:
127 hp
850 kg
350 PP limit
17,000 credit limit - cars may be tuned with the remaining credits.
Comfort Hard Tires - The only thing you can buy without affecting the 17k budget.
1988 or older.
Standard Cars only.

The qualifier track will be the Nurburgring Nordschleife. We will have a 30 minute practice/qualifying session. We will be running 2 laps here.

Let's discuss the groups. Group A and B run different races, with Group B running 25 miles rather than 50. Group B limits are,
107 hp
1000 kg
325 PP
15,000 credit budget
Comfort Hard Tires

Rules:
- Ramming, spinning, wrecking, and profanity is not allowed.
- Those who don't attend the qualifier are automatically placed in Group B.
- Cars may not be used more than once per person.
- Breeching any rules results in automatic DQ.
Other things:
- Winner of race gets a free premium prize car of 100,000 credits or less.
- All drivers race to determine what class they are in. The top finishers reach Group A, while the other finishers are in Group B.
- Those who don't attend the qualifier are automatically placed in Group B.
- Some people may drop down to Group B, but not go up to Group A, unless they do really good in Group B.

Race starts at exactly 8:00 PM EST on Wednesday. Afterwards, Group B starts at 6:50 PM Wednesdays. Read the time of the qualifier for Group A times. All races are in my lounge. Lounge opens at 6:20 for Group B, and 7:30 for Group A.

Qualifier is April 20th.

My dad's b-day is on the 31st, but I am available any day of that week before or after that day.

Cool idea, interested...How long do 50 mile and/or 25 mile races take?
 
Guessing 40-50 minutes depending on the track, last time using somewhat higher powered cars it was taking about 1:30 for 100 miles.
 
What assists (if any) are allowed?

I'm going to delay this a bit to get more sign ups. I know more people are interested, and I don't want to start with only 8 people.
 
I actually had given up on the series. Thought since there was no reply to my interest from 3 days ago, that the series was left by the way side. Just saw it pop up again on the first page, so I came to see what was up. Glad to see that it might still happen, because I think I may have found a couple of cars that would work in the UCD.
 
If anyone wants to join my lobby I'll be running practice at the qualifier track with roughly the right settings. At around 7:30PM Eastern, maybe a bit before. Add my PSN ChaddingtonB if you're new.

Are you going to check everyone's car before the race? It seems you can't pick all the limits together, either PP or HP/KG . Almost every car I found so far in the UCD I've had to rate limit to get down to 350PP - but they're way below 127HP and some are over 1200KG

A better bet would be to just use PP, as some cars (like my CIVIC 1500 3door 25i '83) are below 850 KG, and I actually had to add some weight to meet PP, even with only 95hp:guilty:
