Hey guys. I got Gran Turismo when it came out and geez, the nearly 8 GIGABYTE software (which took about 40 mins to install) that you had to install had me ripping my hair off. I had no internet last week. So yesterday, I finally got my internet back and its pretty good(the internet). So when I popped in Gran Turismo it told me I had to update again!!! Its the update for the new steering wheel I guess, and when it started downloading the update, it said it was a 187 MEGABYTE file! So my problem and irritation comes from this puny little 187 megabyte file to take nearly FOUR and ONE HALF HOURS to download!!!! Is there something wrong with my electronics and luck, or did you guys also have to wait about 5 hours for this update to download?

My update only took about 5-10 min. The update was mainly for their servers being updated because game was running slow because of too many players online. Added more players online at a time don't really remember the numbers, have noticed now that when your doing License Test or A-spec that the game disconnects you from the server (but your not using it anyway) all you have to do is go to the first screen and back and your online again(no need to quit and restart game) which I find is a good feature.

Oh god. This is horrible. I left the ps3 on at home and when I came back my mom unplugged the cord cause she thought it was left on by accident. And it didn't download all the way. Now I gotta do this s**t all over again. Thanks for letting me know its my crap internet. I got the worst luck ever.

The 8GIGABYTE software was doing nothing but putting all the Tracks from the DISC onto your HDD. This was not a necessity, you could have done without it.

There have only been two updates and they both sat around 100MEGABYTES

I found the problem. I didn't have a phone filter installed on my phone that's upstairs. So that was interfering with the connection. Now its working flawlessly. Thanks anyways guys.
