Let's get some new judges!

OK, now that we've gotten used to the wonders of the GT4 physics model(understeer ), let's get ourselves organized again so we can get these challenges and GTPDC's rolling.

This is for judges of the video challenges ONLY​

What does it take to be a judge? Read this and find out

Ok guys. Here we go. Right now we need to get some judges in here that we can depend on. There have been a lot of new members coming in recently and this is great. It also means there are new potential judges.


So, list your nominations. Whoever you think is dependable, knows what they're talking about and can be nonbiased.

We need two types of judges. Head judges and the judging panel. The head judges will run the show with little to no help from anyone else. The panel will be the group that rates the videos in challengs.

We need 3-5 head judges and a panel of at least 12-15 judges to keep things fresh.

Please nominate your picks for head and panel judges. You can nomintate ONE head judge and TWOjudges for the panel.

No, you can't nominate yourself. Is your ego really that big? There are plenty of members here both old and new that are more then qualified to be a judge.

If we get just enough members, then we'll just leave the panels as is. If we get a whole flood, then I'll conduct a vote for the people you want on YOUR judging panel.

Your posts should look like this:

Panel: member name, member name

Head Judge


DRIFTN - I nominate driftn beause he has been a great help to me during the past months being a judge for the Drift Photo Tournament. Driftn was very unbiased and gave me honest opinions throughout. Hes not afraid to say something complete rubbish and also says how it could have been better. When asked Drifting provided some challenging requirements and i never had to wait for his verdicts either.

at the risk of sounding like a humourless stiff:
hidefyourface, fine if you don't want to post productively and contribute to how future competitions are run on this forum - but if that's the case then do everyone else viewing this thread a favour by not posting at all. Everyone else wants to get something done. There's 1018 other threads in the drift forum for that kinda thing.

Just to speed this process along, might you open this up a bit more. Permit one nom for head judge, two for judging panel. I get the feeling that more people than myself are sitting on the fence about who to nominate - or are waiting for someone else to nominate one of their picks to narrow their selection.

There are 15 spots open on the judging panel, and we can turn to a vote if necessary. It might create a deeper and/or more diverse panel by bringing in excellent people who just didn't quite top someone's list.

heh, I wish those guys were still around, they had skills. I only got involved in the GT3 drift forum after they had vanished - watched as many of their vids as I could though, while they were still up

Pergs stopped by the GT4 drift forum for a few days over the summer... (infact, it might have been the last time were holding judge noms) ...that was kinda cool.

edit: nope, I'm mistaken. Pergs came by when AO annonced his 'retirement' - better known as a 3 month hiatus
