Gotta be on a Tuesday, right? 12/7/10?

Jerome

I wouldnt get your hopes up. A game that has already been in development for 5-6 years, whats 8 days going to do for it. Nothing. Just prepare yourself for another massive delay so you are not disappointed.
The optimistic way to look at GT5 is to never expect it. That way when its released you will be surprised. :dopey:

I guess the next thing is the delay being delayed...:ouch: But yeah a friday in 2011 seems most likely then.

Guessing for the UK.

Possibilities are:

12/11/10
19/11/10
26/11/10
3/12/10
10/12/10
17/12/10
24/12/10
31/12/10

Based on the information we have been given I would guess the 17th of December 2010.

It would be a stupid and a huge mistake if Sony missed the November 23 date.

First off, the date must fall on a Tuesday, so I don't know why so many people are pulling non-Tuesday dates out of the air.

Second, Black Tuesday (November 26 this year) is THE DAY for shopping in the USA. Parents like myself, keep sale fliers from all the retailers for a few weeks to help guide us for gifts. If Sony made the Nov. 23 launch date, just think how many retailers would put the PS3 and GT5 on their front page! Think of the free advertising they'd get!

So, it's November 23, or bust.

Why Tuesday? Plenty of games are released on Mondays and Thursdays and Fridays or Wednesdays.

In Canada, maybe. Not here in the USA. All new 'hot' games will be released no sooner, and not later, than a Tuesday.

However, it could be later. But not a 'hot' title like GT5.

I agree, and I think we can say 100% for sure this was not a marketing decision if they miss that date. Because it could mean big time losses in the States.

Not that I think marketing is the cause anyway, but you guys probably get what I'm saying. So, I think we can say one thing for sure, Sony will be fighting, scratching, and clawing to get their game out the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. And for me that wouldn't be that bad, since I have a couple days off work for Thanksgiving. So, I wouldn't have to use as much vacation. (only 3 vaca days left for the year)

What I'm worried about right now is the fact there is still no new release date. I don't think they will just call a date 1-2 weeks before launch.

I absolutely agree. Does anyone have a good example of another time something like this has happened? And another date be thought to be so close? Personally, I cannot think of one.

I honestly think that by the time GT5 is released, most members here will be in there late 80's talking to their grand kids about how long they waited for this bloody game to come out, while watching their Grand kids play it :dopey:

I will say December 10 /2010

It's already out in a parallel universe and our otherselves are enjoying it immensely.

You know what? A lot of current and leading physicists agree with you. Seriously! :dopey:

All, I can say, screw my 'other dimension selfs' and their 18 days.
