Hmm.. The Like The wind is actually very easy for Bob. I have even won it with a level 0 driver when giving him directions.

1: Use the Minolta won in the A-Spec version of this race.
2: Make sure to put the best tires allowed on it.
3: make sure you have full downforce.
4: make sure oil is fresh and you may want to put the high rpm turbo on it.
5: Enter the event with a driver that is blue or green at present.
6: keep an eye on your driver. If you see his meter start to drop below center instruct him to pace up. If he is coming up on lapped traffic tell him to overtake as he closes in.

In the American Indy race use either the Ford GT Spec II or the ZR1 RM and do the same as above. any B-Spec driver should be able to win either of these races with these cars and a little direction.

The Daytona Nascar race is another story however.

Has anyone done the American Challenge, 20 laps of Indy, in a NASCAR? I tried with my level 22 Bob, but just made a new one as per the advice here (B. Senna popped up, the ultimate rookie Bob?) and I'm going to try again, as I don't have anything American and fast other than the Ford Mk.IV and the GT40 Race Car. Not the Spec 2, unfortunately.

So yeah, I hope this can save me the money for modding a ZR1, I will do it someday, just not when I need a Formula Gran Turismo...

Edit: After 13 laps he's only just leading, occasionally he gets overtaken or rammed so hard he nearly spins, but he usually gets it back... If he didn't keep hitting the wall exiting the turns he'd be miles ahead, probably, but they keep picking up the slipstream and catch up too easily. Oh great, he just pretty much stopped. What a fun waste of time this is turning out to be.

Another edit: Ha ha, well, that was interesting! After falling down to 6th after failing to pass a back-marker which allowed a Chaparral to catch up, I somehow came back and won by 00.337. The new Bob theory worked out well, not very well, but he still won! Thanks!

Someone recommended (Using a NASCAR) putting front downforce to 45 and rear to 40. With my BOB driving the modded (whatever you can add in the tune section) NASCAR, gearing @ 249 or 255 (I forget, I'm at work now) he won fairly easily. Then I maxed out the mods for the Ford GT LM II and easily won the Laguna Seca race. The only settings changes I made was max downforce on front and reduced overall gearing to 190 or so.

my bspec bob is at a pretty high level, 25 or so, and with a fully modded and tuned RM'd ZR1 he still cannot do the daytona race on the like the wind event. He is usually 9th or 10th place. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can you use Racing: Soft tires? because in b-spec i notice you can only use a certain tire type.

For those of you who can beat 'Like The Wind' easily what are your exact setup for the ZR1? Mine is about 861hp, and thats with an oil change. It was 905 before, not sure why it dropped all of a sudden.

I had a similar thread not so long back. I couldn't win even with the Minolta. I eventually did it with a lvl 9 bob with high temperament. I got told to keep your bobs bar in the middle. ( don't let it go in the blue) but I just hammered increase speed. His temp bar was at max the whole way round and his mental and physical was empty at the half way point.
I won by less than 100th of a second.

Thanks for the Tips 👍

I just Golded the B-Spec Daytona Race by 0.622 of a Second with a zero novice Bob Hothead :D . He's now Level 7 after that one race :sly:

Geared for 249
Brakes set to 1 front and Rear
Aero set to Max Front and Rear

Used my Nascar Special Event Car as this has 892BHP

Only used two Commands either Overtake or Pace Up

It was Actually a great Race aswell :D
