Level 21 - I need a race car

Which one shall I buy guys? I have a GTR35 at 825bhp but need a true race car with downforce now to complete races. What shall I get? Most arnt avalible for me to buy yet? I have 1.7 million in the account. I will be racing against a load of other race cars that are 900 bhp ish.
 
whichever that can compete with the lineup of cars you will be facing and meets most all the entry requirements for the races you will race in. I would say the 2J, but alas, PD doesn't want us helping out one another.
Too bad you now have to grind for a year to save up the funds to buy one.
 
Zr1 rm or z06 rm. Both are capable of killing c class racers. The zr1 has more power but weirdly the z06 looks better with it's silver paintjob. But either are brilliant on a track both have nice amount of downforce and grip. Plus you can buy it for less than 1000000 cr.
 
Agree on the RM'd Corvettes. You should probably have a Zonda R from grinding B-Spec, that car doesn't hang?

You get the Zonda R for completing I believe the last race in Professional on B-Spec.
 
If you haven't already, complete the B-Spec Roadster event and you will recieve the Mazda Furai Concept '08 - it's a bloody good car, it corners like a house fly, without any tinkering with the suspension. Use it to complete Like The Wind, and you'll then have the Toyota Minolta, which is a pretty quick, with a fair amount of bhp. A race-modified ZR1 is a good choice as well. Or if you're into something Italian, the F430 Scuderia is a good investment.
 
If you want to list the cars you have for that I'll see what would be usable.

They are my top 3. But none seem good enough.

Italia might be good enough if you tune it. I'm checking this series now.
 
The Italia should be fine with proper Bobs. The cars raced against are LM Camaros and slightly worse. For a proper check you could enter one race individually and see what happens. If you are winning that, you have a good chance to win the series.
 
If you need a racecar just win the b-spec Mazda roadster race. I think you need to be lvl 7 to compete but you might need bob to be a bit higher in order to win and pumping some cash into upgrading your roadster is a must to win at low levels. The Mazda furai you win is perfectly capable of winning A-spec "like the wind" with a slight tune which nets you the Toyota minolta racecar, which is as fast as you'll ever need in gt5.

The corvette is your best bet if you have more cash to spare and don't want to deal with b-spec but it's pretty expensive as I remember, the race mod alone is quite pricey where as the furai comes pretty much completely upgraded, you just need to tune it a bit, check the forums for info on beating like the wind with the furai and you'll find tuning help that makes a world of difference with the furai.
