Finally, the dealership owner called me to offer me the free year maintenance cost, and they will pay the rental car, if I still want to buy them the car. Of course! They're also willing to give me 2012 WRX wheels to put my winter tires.

Their error turns out really good for me.

They won't do that. In 3 weeks time, he could put well above what's considered "delivery" miles & they lose out on potential profit rather than if it was still brand new.

Would you buy a brand-new STi with near 1000km on it? Not me. Mine is supposed to have less than 10km on it. The car is coming on a flatbed truck.
 
Last day with the Evo! All clean, all good! Put brand new brake pads I bought last month, changed the oil. Even put a new blue pine air refreshner.

Just two weeks, or maybe less, before the STi will be in the driveway. Until then I drive a rental Impala LTZ. I feel like i'm 20 years older behind the wheel.
