Lexus IS-F Racing Concept '08- Fantastic Car

Seriously, with the right tune and the perfect setup, this car is a beast. I strongly recommend it for the DTM Seasonals. What do you guys think of this near-perfect race car?

I tried it out on those races and had a pretty good time. I was always turned off of it because the front looks odd to me, but it was a fun drive and the back looked awesome.

Yes, this is one of my favorite premiums. I have 2 that are tuned differently, I never really gave it a chance until a few weeks ago and have been hooked since.

I remember having a hard time on getting a decent finish on Eiger, stock. Then I tried the 155 Alfa stock and Eiger was a great challenge (won by 1-2 seconds after a few tries). The 155 is one of my favorite cars as of now.

+1. Without the current OCD deals the ISF obsoletes every other DTM car.

1) Most powerful (except R8 LMS which is 5.6 mill to begin with)
2) Always available
3) Cheaper than the others anyway
4) Looks nicer and cockpit through Premiumness
5) PAINTABLE.

Even despite being the heaviest as well it's still got great grip. I won the A-Spec DTM with it completely stock. Cape Ring was alright, Nurburgring GP/D was a fun challenge though. Nurburgring Nordschleife it just wrecked the AI on...

Yeah I've been using it for the DTM Seasonal. It's a really good car, and even sounds mean.

A manufacturer doesn't have to be German to be in the DTM. The IS-F was build to DTM regulations for a motor show.

Nope...The Racing Concept was just for an auto show, I'm pretty sure the IS-F Race Mod is based on his 'Ring Lexus.

Actually it wasn't built from scratch, they bought an old 2004 DTM Vectra and put IS-F bodywork on it. It even still had the Opel V8. Presumably it's heavier because it incorporates more of its street car counterpart's body parts than a real DTM car (which generally share nothing but the lights and roof). It's also more powerful because it's missing the air restrictor all DTM cars run (which is good because if it'd been at 470 it would be useless in-game).

One thing that's pretty fascinating to me is Polyphony actually got real data on the car instead of just putting in the 1000kg/470HP standard DTM figures. The fact that they were allowed real acces to it is kind of amazing when you realize Lexus were very cagey about revealing anything about it to the general public (obviously, as you don't really want to shout from the rooftops that your exciting new concept car is a four year old Opel).
