Can the Lexus LFA 10 be equipped with a rear wing? I ask because it seems to have an automatic wing like the Mercedes-McLaren SLR

Oh, and is t premium or standard?

Go to Auto shop and check, you can check without fitting, don't know off hand as i haven't tried :)

It's a premium and you can't buy a wing for it.

Just because its a premium does'nt mean you cant buy a wing for it, there are several premiums in my garage that i have purchased wings for, off my head the maclaren's most ferrari's, focus st and im sure loads more.
Maybe you need to re-word your coment to something like, you cannot buy a wing for this car and yes it is a premium model. does'nt sound like your infering premiums cant have wings.

Its a premium. And no you cannot purchase a wing for it and thats not because its a premium, it just doesnt have that option.

I didn't say that all premium cars can't have extra aero parts installed. It's just that there are no extra aero parts available for the Lexus LFA and others such as the Kubelwagon.

Why? If I was referring to all premium cars then I would use "so" instead of "and". I don't see why my sentence is incorrect.

Whoa slow down a bit mate, i did'nt mean to upset you. I didnt say that all i stated is above that your comment may have needed re-wording as it reads like your saying that.
No need to get upset, i was just reading what you had put and thats how it sounds.

Hi guys,

I bought the lexus LFA and i really like it but does the rear wing actually work in this car? Nothing seems to happen, even at high speeds.

I don't think he's that upset.

But read the OP's question. Counter just directly answered the question.

It's a premium and you can't buy a wing for it.

The meaning of this is totally obvious to me.

1. The car is premium
2. The aftermarket wing is not available

Two independent facts.

Just saying is all

Apologies to the OP for going off topic.

I have tried to 'wing up' this car with no success. I thought it was due to the self raising wing, but that doesn't prevent attaching one to the SLS. There are quite a few cars you cant put wings on - I wonder if it's an aesthetic choice on PD's part. I really wanted to install a wing on the 512BB

Oops... apostro'fail :D

Coutner answered both questions and made perfect sense doing it, and you were inferring from his implications. Polar opposites. You can't use an apostrophe to pluralise Ferrari's and then miss one from im. McLaren is a famous make... but I accept that the spelling isn't always obvious.

I'd sort out your own post before picking fault with a perfectly reasonable reply.

On-topic: Why do you want a wing on the LFA? I think the balance is great, even with the power racked up! :D

Should be up most of the time unless you're going at very low speeds. If it isn't raising that's... strange. (The spoiler, har har.)

Got the wrong end of the stick?

He said you can't buy a wing for it because you can't, it doesn't let you.

I believe the question was ment to ask if the rear wing generates any downforce on the car when it's raised (in the fame that is). As to that question I have no idea.

I think it gives a very small amount of downforce, maybe +2 at the rear or something hardly noticable.

nope I Wish some times because the normal one when switching between 30-80mph in corners it keeps going up and down.

Most wings on cars like that come up around 70-75 MPH. By that token, on the road, it may as well be a big yellow flag that says "Look at me, Im Speeding! Give me a Ticket!"

Rear wing should activate around 100 mph it memory serves me correct. It's not very big so maybe you're just missing it?

You probably cannot put a wing on it because of that dumb spoiler that pops up around 70 MPH which seems to do nothing at all but we will never know because you cannot put/take off a wing on it.
