LFA- does it have purpose for you? Or do you just have it for the fun of having it?

Hi guys im just here posong a question to you about the LFA.. see heres the thing, i was purchasing my 4 the other day(i have 10 now soon to be 12, as i intend to get another matt black car to replace the one i gave away and a metallic black car) and i realized that all except for the first car (it was my first exotic) have been bought just for having them, does anyone else feel that theyre too slow (for an exotic) to have as anything other than vanity purchases?

First time I tried the LFA was on the Nordeschleife. I thought it was a fat pig. 2nd time I tried it was SS-5, thought it was a whole lot better and had potential. However, as of yet I still haven't found a good use for it.

I loved mine, really fun. That's what it's made for.I just had it converted to a race car and competing in FIA GT3 now.

I am at the point in GT5 where I just do seasonals, online racing, and practice runs on the Nord. I have really grown to love taking stock cars like the GT-Rs, M3, Ferraris, SLS, etc around the Nord. The LFA is no different. The first time I drove it was in the license test. Thought it was the coolest car and it scared the heck out of me. I ended up buying one and sold it shortly after as I was very disappointed in the performance (I think it was just me at the time). After seeing on up close at the NY auto show a couple months back I bought another one. It is one of my favorite cars to take around the Nord. It may not be the fastest or best handling, but man is it fun.

I'm drifting mine, and I can't drift. But a helmet and large cash made me learn a new type of car control. I'm only about 10,000 hours short of being good at it. But the LFA was easy to set up and slide.

I'm on that exact same boat. Always hated to do drifting and now that I tried to Gold the Grand Tour/Eiger/Alfa 8C (GRRRR!!!!) event I realized thouse 100,000,000 hours short of practicing drift are quite evident . However, for easy drifting try an SRT-10 Viper. It even has it's own "Initiate Drift" button!!! (It's a pedal that sits to the right of the brake pedal, some people call it throttle).

On topic: I bought mine a while ago and have barely used it. I don't know, it felt too nervous that time and I really don't feel like trying it again. It does look great and comes in some very pretty colours but...meh...will drive later :p.

It's a fantastic car (to me).

I bought it some sticky sports softs, racing suspsnsion and a revised ECU, tuned it, and took it for a blast around the 'ring.

It's simply wonderful :D

Many players, including myself, used LFA's to great effect in the Saturday Racing League I'm in. Tuned to 520 pp with racing tyres and all the drivetrain mods they are damn fast, especially on tracks with long straights (is power tracks). Don't write off this car until you have spent a bit of time/ money on it

LFA has a huge purpose for me. I buy them by the dozen for the pink paint chip.

Which probably isn't remotely what the OP meant, but it is what I use it for.

I lighten them, and then only replace the minor exhaust and intake bits, and an ECU. Keeps the amazing noise, no loud gearbox racket, and tune the suspension to make it unstable. Then, drive it very smooth. Beautiful car, awesome Rev counter, brilliant in white.

However, It still isnt my Go-to car for many events

I've heard people say it's the greatest sounding car and blah blah blah, but along with a lot of cars in the game it sounds too tinny (high pitch... Yes with two n's in tinny), but sound is nothing when it comes to performance and it's mediocre but then again I'm not a drifter, i suck with the ebrake, I'm better with throttle control when i'm focused in other cars, i just stick to ol' fashioned racin

A little off topic but what's the LF-GH in thier new commercials?

I bought one...but only did some laps for a quick testing and see the inside view.

Last night I was racing in a 500-550pp room and some guy with a LFA passed very easy my Ferrari california in the Fuji speedway Gt straight.
I think I'm gonna test this car again...XD

Slyck is right, tune these cars up, give them the correct settings and they are awesome; my favourite road car in the game without a doubt. 👍

The LFA takes a lot more in tuning to get it to drive fast when compared to the NSX, GT-R, Z06 or ZR1 Vettes, etc.

At 550pp, I have it within two-tenths of the 02 NSX Type R but it took a good 20-25 minutes of tuning. Most cars I can get tuned in 10 minutes or less. It's fast but still a little difficult to consistently drive fast. I need to tweak it a little more to prevent the rear end from stepping out upon hard braking.

Agreed. The car can be very jumpy. I love it on the ring.

The main reason it seems slow is because the transmission is set to huge ratios, shorten the gears an get it in its power band an its golden.
