LG Cookie (KP500) Applications

My girlfriend recently purchased the LG Cookie (KP500) and somehow she finds it boring and very complex to use, is there any applications or software to try make it more fun or easy to use? Any things for day to day use (like for instance she finds sending and writing texts with the handwriting tool very annoying) or just general handy items like an english/language dictionary (prefrably german) and or sort of multimedia or fun ones.
Personaly i cant really fault the phone at all, its pretty good and cheap as hell here, but i dont own it lol Whats the general opinion of the phone here?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have had the phone since july. She does realise that you dont have to text with the handwriting tool right? You can turn it sideways to the left for a keyboard or you can go to the options when you are writing a message and use the keypad. I dont use any applications with it, it is generally a very easy phone to use.

The only thing I can really get annoyed with is the gallery, it is laggy as hell and half the time you cant click a thumbnail.

Oh yeah she knows you can do that but thats hard to use too lol, i guess these things are just stuff people who use the phone will have to get used to. Ive had a go of it and even with the handwriting delay set very short its incredibly slow and my fat thumbs dont make the keyboard options very easy, using the stylus is better but i dont really like using it

Yeah, I dont much like texting on it either, the keypad is too slow for me. I cant type half as fast as I use to be able to on it.
