License C 2 Lap test

How many times did it take you guys to get gold on this final test of License C?

I have passed all, except starting on License S and getting all golds for License C.

I keep getting 2nd place every single time I try my hardest and It's so annoying when you mess up by bumping one of the cars at the very beginning. Repeat like over 100 times...

Any tips? I tried watching the example video and wow I'm faster than him lol

I can't even get bronze on that one... The AI keeps bumping into me, resulting in me getting DQed... :grumpy:
 
This test is easy if you can control the car under braking.

I used TCS 1 and ABS 1 to gold it.

I later tried ABS 10 and it seemed easier because the car didn't wiggle about during braking as much and it was easier to control.
 
About 300! every time i went to overtake that car in 1st place i clipped it a tiny bit and failed. I finally got it though on that little straight before the hill.

DS3 TCS 1 ABS 1, However you can overcome the cars terrible braking using the RA menu and changing the values to 5 front and 4 rear or something, make's it more controllable.

Another "impossible" (Gold, ABS 10) licence test is S8
 
S8 is the one with the Alfa 8C right?
I golded that on my first go, ABS 1 and TCS 1 I think.
ASM was on by default on that one so I didn't have problems with the car sliding about.

I don't see why so many people say that it's hard...
I use a DS3.
 
LMAO!

Switched to manual after trying it out on some other track and after a few failed attempts to even finish a lap without getting DQ. Finally made 1 lap and past 2nd place on the tight right hander on my way to the last corner before the finish lane for 1st place.

What the hell! I feel like I have so much control over my car and have more room for mistakes and the pull outta tight corners is much better than Automatic!!

Oh boy... looking back at my previous license tests where I only drove automatic and gold'd them all. I'd probably gain a few more seconds past Gold w/ Manual...

Thank you. Might never look back to automatic. Went hundreds of tries getting gold on this test and first try on manual trying to finish the challenge, I get gold.... 👍

EDIT: On my way to Super S license! gotta be fun using manual! :)
 
DQ from hitting AI cars/ AI cars hit you is removed. It's much more easier now.

Edit: You still get DQ for hitting wall and object.

Oh really? That's quite a change for all the license tests. Anyways I swear I did not see myself touching the cars as I knew if I touched them, it would get me DQed. It's just the walls and shifting down while braking is what gets my car dragging me into DQ.


One question. When I brake, should I shift down first and then brake or brake for a bit and shift down at the same time while still braking?

Just want to get a good habit of shifting properly... :)


EDIT: Looked at my replay for this test and it went looking all good until that very last corner of lap 2 where I gave a little love tap to that 2nd place car for first place. Ehh.. well thank you update 1.06! >_>
