License Nemesis?

Does anyone have a license level that they just can't gold?

My nemesis is IC-3. 350Z on the double hairpin at the Indianapolis Speedway.

I got at least silver with a DS3 on all licenses but now I've pretty much worked through all the licenses after recently getting a wheel, i just have the S license to go. With everything that i've re-learned after getting a wheel i've been able to improve the silvers to golds but so far IC-3 has been a nightmare. At a reserved guess, i must have tried it 300 times. :yuck:

I'll keep trying without a worry because this is part of the GT series i've always enjoyed.

Has anybody else had a problem getting this license or any other?

UPDATE: finally nailed it a while back. At the beginning of Feb 2012 I started over the whole game (for giggles). I tried IC-3 and on the 3rd attempt i got it. Magic!!!! :)

Try slowing up in turn 2, so that you have good grip and a good line for the last turn. The more you skid to the side from slowing down the slower youll be. I have a crappy video somewhere on here.
 
pagani c12 s in the S- liscence trial with the white maserati. i never get to pass him.
 
IC-3 prompted profanity, and a couple PS3 shutdowns.
I tried and tried, settled with silver. One day I thought one more try, and golded it. Keep trying, walk away, try again.
 
It's not a licence test for me..... it's the first event of the Grand Tour Special Event. The Alfa Romeo around Eiger Nordwand. I have been trying it on and off for a few months and no matter what I try I just can't get closer than 0.5 seconds off the gold time.

It's the only thing other than the Vettel challenge that I have left to gold :(
 
I burned through all of the licences (most of them Gold in one try) until I got to IC-10.



And I spent hours and hours and hours on IC-10 because of that damn Miura.







Of course, when I did it the second time due to my save corrupting after PD took out the collision failure requirement, I just used the 512BB as an incredible simulation of a demo derby car and walked the test (because I figured at the point that I had already gotten it legitimately once, so what did I care?), but that first time...
 
IC-3 was extremely hard.
You're not alone, keep at it. I got it within 1 hour. Pain in the neck, yes- But when you finally get it; YES!!! 👍
 
IC-3 and the one at la sarthe with the Lexus ISF...
I left those two to gold to the last ones...Eventually I got them.
 
Doing the license's has never been a priority for myself, so I do them when I'm feeling bored of racing. Previously it was IC-10 that brought out the expletives in me, as it did/does for everybody. After I got gold there, I've now been tranded on IB-3 (Top Gear slalom w/ FT-86) for the time being. I do have silver, but this picking up of .200secs each run is wearing thin :banghead:
 
got all gold, and that IB3 was hard too. Another one that made me go bananas was that one with the R8 V10@ Circuit of Madrid

Oh my.. left me at rage for about 2 days.
I remember spending a whole day off by 0.3 seconds then got too frustrated and called it a day. Came back the next morning to be off by 0.5 seconds and couldn't shave any time for the life of me. Then went on and fooled around online for about 3 days or so and went back to the challenge on a whim. Golded comfortably with 0.4 seconds under the target time.. no idea why :\
 
I've only golded the S License like every one here. For some reason, PD made it easy this time. As for the others, they are a pain, and I don't think I'll be golding them. I don't have the patience I had in the PS1-PS2 days :(
 
I don't know which license that is, but there is a test with a BMW at the Schuhmacher-S at Nürburgring GP.
I remember that I gave it lots and lots of attempts and never golded it.

The Nissan G37/skyline coupe or whatever it is, at La Sarthe was a nightmare for me. It wasn't a nice handling car when pushed, felt like a 350Z with much more float, and not much in the way of straight line speed. That test would have been great for something with much better suspension, or at least something that behaved itself under brakes.
 
It's been doing my head in too lol but I've four others to gold as well. I to love the tests, give's you a certain satisfaction completing them. Not a Fan of this levelling up carry on Though I hit 40 ages ago lol
 
Outside the tests where you had to pass everyone for the first place and not get touched in the process the hardest were the slaloms. Got everything golded eventually though.

How can you slow up? You can slow down or speed up but not slow up!

I am in the same situation as you. This is the only one left for me to gold....
 
The Top Gear slalom test in that Horrid FT-86 POS!.. That took a few tries. Everything else was easy! I golded almost all on the first try. Now its the Grand Tour "Eiger" challenge that makes me crazy!
 
IB-3 Slalom.

I have a time of either 0.05 or 0.005 away anyhow its pretty close.

I know it may as well be 0.5 as you get the same a SILVER
 
I have 59 golded. IB-3 Slalom is left, I keep going back and forth with DFGT, DS3 nothing helps.
