Seen as how there's drifting in GT5, but there's not a single license test to teach it, would you guys like some lessons? I personally would like it if there were some tests for it, it would definitely help with getting the basics right and show the new players some techniques.

Yes that makes sense with all the current seasonals. Currently if there were points for doughnuts I would be a wealthy man!!!

That is actually a good idea. I'm good at racing, not drifting. That sort of thing could help me drift better.

I want this, no I NEED this. I can just barely scrape the gold's on the seasonals, which lands me about 9000th overall lol

I would be happy if there were simply a skid pad so I could practice on my own.

It's not exactly the easiest thing to try and teach someone to drift, though, something to practice with (like an open parking lot with cones or something like Gymkhana) would be quite useful in helping.

Great idea, it took me a while to learn to drift and i'm still not brilliant. Simple ideas can go a long way. :)

Ya, agree.
We need license test or tutorial about drifting.
Took me a long time to learn drift but still not good at it. But at least I was able to finished online event with gold medal.

I'm not sure how a license test for drifting would work out. It couldn't be timed like the other tests and the current scoring system is extremely flawed.

since we have drift events, i like this idea of a seperare drift licenses and would like to see them... but more than that (maybe part of the beginners license) there be a training feature (maybe modify the driving line to show path, throttle, brake, ebrake, wheel angle).

I would be happy if there were simply a skid pad so I could practice on my own.

I didnt know how to use GT4s skidpad (I was young and naive) and I've been wanting it back. Here's to hoping that the new test track comes with a skidpad.

With GT sponsoring the D1GP, I'm sure PD could pull some strings and get one of the professional drifters to give a simple tutorial with a demonstration afterwards. No need for any tests, just something to tell people what drifting is and how to perform a simple drift.
