Licenses easier?

Am I the only one who thinks the license tests are easier than they were in GT5? I'm golding most of these in my first try. And I'm beating the gold requirement by a lot. Whereas in GT5 it would take many tries to beat the gold record by just a small amount.
 
Yes, the license tests are even easier than in GT5, just as the license tests in GT5 were generally much easier than in the previous GT games. I guess they were scared that making them mandatory for advancement would scare a certain sort of user away if they weren't able to get gold right away, despite only needing bronze to advance.
 
Yea when I saw the trophy for beating a license gold time by 0.5s I thought I'm never gonna manage that! But I've beaten some by more than a second! Tests are WAY easier this time round!
 
Yes. Definitely. I was getting gold in my first attempt, so I was very surprised. Usually I just strive for Silver, and that takes me a while in previous GT's. There was only one that I had difficulties with (the accelerating and braking test), but it required just two tries. I find myself competing with my PSN friend's times, rather than making any efforts on golding these license tests.

But they are fun.
 
Even GT5's tests were pretty easy, but yes, GT6's tests are even easier. I remember GT4's tests being much, much harder. Same with GT3 and the PS1 games.
 
I personally think our skill level has improved thanks to the time trials in GT5 i no mine have
 
Yes, they are much easier than GT5. The bar is set way lower.
You have to realize though, license test in GT6 have a different function than in GT5.

In GT5 they did not function as access doors for higher levels like they do in GT6.
So if they made them as hard as GT5, angst levels would rise for those not as skilled.

I did like the way they did the Super licenses, though, good new-track learning tools.
Once they get the RA-mapping fixed (its still borked) so 0 ABS BB can be set...
...I might go back to them and whittle my times down to beat those on my FR list.

I think the combination of your driving skills and the new physics are making the tests seem easier.
I do agree however that GT1,2,3 and 4 were harder. And the amount of control you had over your car had plenty to do with that. Or should I say the amount of control you did'nt have...............
 
Most are quite easy, but a few have given me fits. Slalom is usually my weakness, but I golded IB-1 within 3 tries.

Golding IB-3 (Mustang at Willow Springs) just about made me pull my hair out! That 'Stang is such an ill-handling brute. And yes, I drive on a DS3 with all aids off except ABS 1.

I think that the challenge licenses once provided have been replaced by other aspects of the game. Such as Goodwood, Mission Races, Karts, etc. Kart Cup 100 @ Space I has by far been the biggest challenge I've faced so far. Let's just say I'm glad restarts don't affect your W/L record!! Not to mention Lunar Mission 3.

Though, I have been reading that the S-Licenses are pretty absurdly difficult. Not looking forward to the Veyron @ Ascari for S-License when I reach it!

Totally agree with you about the Mustang at Willow Springs and the Veyron ......the S-5 test is so frustrating.....:banghead:
