Hey all,
I have finished the game 100%, with all gold everywhere. Right now I am collecting cars to try and get all of them, and I also want to drive evry single one of the cars.
But I have been running short on ideas lately, other then taking pictures and doing laptimes, I have been trying to think of any kind of "goals" I could come up with to make the game interesting every time I play ( other then starting from scratch ), like win this race with that car, or...or...well, that's where I need your help !
What would you do, what kind of goal would you think off ? I really wish the game was 200% long... :)

Try and post in the right forum? This is not a photo or video gallery.

I'll move it for you this time....

hi,

i got the same problem as you, a long time ago i finished gt4 with a 100%, and what i am doing now is, just havening fun, to race only for 200 A-Spec Points.

for example, its lots lots and lots of fun, to finish "BRITISH GT" with the amazing Lotus Elise 111R

Just get a Wing, but dont tune it,exapt for Suspension and Full Transm.

you will have lots of fun, trying to finish this Event. I did it twice, one i finished championship second, and the second time, i won it.

its a hell of fun dude! :)

I do online racing now, with UKGTC and Team Euro Racers. At the moment im trying to tame the XJR-9 before the UKGTC season starts.

I started by performing and recording a whole bunch of comparisons.... best Elise alternative, best old supercar, best current supercar, best stock FR drift car, and so on.

Now I'm taking on project racecars. My first was a '69 Stingray built to beat the Cobra in the 1000 Miles! championship, my second was a '62 Lotus Elan, which I have built just to see what it can do. It has so far won the El Capitan 200 mile endurance on 127bhp, and the NY 200 mile by more than a minute with 208bhp. The Elan is still scheduled to swap its S1 tyres for some racing slicks to challenge the establishment at the Laguna Seca 200, but I have already sent b-spec Bob out to obtain the base for my next racecar project - an Alfa Romeo Guilia GTA, which is also destined to take on the El Capitan Elise.

The good thing is, now that I have already won all the prize cars and have more credits than I can count, the racing is more interesting and fun because I don't HAVE to win. So a 50 lap long battle with the Motorsport Elise for 5th place in the New York 200 race (Elan, 150bhp, finished 5th and lapped by winning Z06) was one of the best races I've had yet.

Try this: Arcade mode, single race, Sarthe I, Panoz GTR, difficulty 5, hard tyres. Put on superhard tryes, with the others on hard. Put power down -5%, weight up 5%, and try to beat the Mercedes, once he gets through the pack.

Click on the link in my sig, and you'll be able to compare your driving/tuning skill each week against top notch drivers. 👍

Great...now I have so many things to do i don't know where to start...lol. The race series looks awesome, and the stock car comparison challenge is very exciting too, i'll defenitly be joining those 2 ! So far I like all your ideas a lot, it's really interesting to see what people think off !!! :)

You could always try something like this.

It's only for the insane though - you have been warned...

And welcome to GTP too. :)

oh my....i never even thought about doing something like that, congrats to that guy 👍 it makes me want to try it though... :dopey:

I'm standing at 45.8% and almost halfway to 100%. Should I use a Lotus Esprit 350 fully tuned or a Lotus Elise 111R in the British GT championship?

I used a fully tuned Lotus Carlton. :)

What does that have to do with the topic?

Stay on topic please.

I think I can come up with 150,000 cr.
Do you remember me saying this?

Tune a car with precision and try to get a laptime that nobody has ever posted on GTP yet. :)

or start aiming at 300 mph club. we have a wide variety of cars there, starting from 904 bhp roadlegal Supra doing 301.xx mph and ending with GT-ones and Toyota C88-V's doing 360mph. this, if what requires knowledge about finetuning your car. :nervous: and beware: test track might look short when doing way over 250 mph, which means that your car is going way faster than Bugatti Veyron. in other words, your cars mileage will climb alarmingly fast.. :scared:

Thanks Chris for mentioning my old Carriage/Wagon thread! Not sure if anyone can beat Mezar or thegreatms' times now though. If you have a LOT of patience and skill, I recommend trying to at least get around the nurb once in either the motor carriage, or motor wagon- even doing this (at any pace you like) is a major achievement...

MugenVTEC
Well, you need patience and you need to test and test and test... Thats the way it is and when you got a good time, you get pride and maybe respect... :)

No. not "MAYBE" respect, you GET respect :grumpy: anyone good enough to match or beat the fastest times on the forum is very respected in my book ! :sly:

On another note, testing and testing and testing is really cool and fun to do, seeing how your car will react on the track now. I have tryied that on a couple tracks, but I am still 1 - 5 seconds away from the very best time, those guys are FAST ! But i'll be FASTER :) When ? well.. . ..heuu. .... I just will !!! :boggled:

Have you tried drifting?

I have about 80% of the game completed, but it has remained at that level for a few months now because all I do is drift. Just quickly set up a car to drift, and take it for a spin. Invent your own style, and enjoy showing off while racing friends.

You can still do a lot more after 100%. It's a beautiful stage to get, because from now on you play this game in a very relaxed way. You can do the following things:

1. You can finish this game even if you only have bronze medals in the licenses. Try winning gold medals in every license. That will take some time and will give you interesting cars like the Jensen Interceptor or the memorable Ford Model T. :)

2. Win some races with the cars that you won, but never had the chance to play with them. :yuck:

3. Try to buy more cars, and possibly to have all cars in your garage (both new and used). I'm really interested in buying the Pescarrolos, the Peugeout Race Car, the Mazda 787B, the Nissan R390 Gt, the Sperante, the Vertigo Gillet Race Car, the Focus Rally Car, The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car, etc. I will need like 20 mill credits to buy these ones, so I can re-run a lot or races again. There is a thread here that shows you the races where you can make the most $/min.

4. Get enough money to tune all your cars. That will cost you a lot of time. :dopey:

5. Run in Arcade mode or in Practice mode all the courses in order to have7 your best times, then post them on this site.

6. Increase your A-spec points to at least 50,000 and try to run more in A-spec mode. I completed this game, but I ended up running more in B-spec than in A-spec. This game is longer than GT3 and took me more time to complete it, but Ironically I have only run 22,000 miles in this game (8,500 miles in A-spec mode) compared with the 20,800 miles in GT3. I need to run more in this game.

If someone has more advices, be kind to post them.

lot of good suggestions, to be sure... whatever you decide to do, though, do not try and collect every color of tuner/dealer new/used Honda/Acura in the game... i did, and was 1 car shy of achieving that goal... was dismayed when i remembered that the DN-X was a prize car that can only be won once--and it comes in two colors... doh... :ouch:

off-topic: these Xmas smileys are great!

back on: pick a car you hate and try to love it... prove there is a replacement for displacement in the form of a nimble, light, low-HP 4-banger FR... find new lines around familiar courses... pick a big fat pig of a car and make it a beautiful handler... choose a single car to learn it inside and out for each of the drivetrain classes--then pick another when you're done from either the same class or the next... or... or... um... :dopey:
