Except it's already past 11:30 EST.
Sorry, I meant 11:30 PM EST, atleast that's when I get my updates.
From,
Chris.

We’d like to provide a quick update on Life with PlayStation for PLAYSTATION 3. We know many of you are eager to try out the new service for yourself, but you’ll have to hold tight. Due to a few procedural matters, the new service will make its way to PlayStation fans in August.
Rest assured, Life with PlayStation will be a service that introduces a new way to interact with your PS3. By bringing information from around the world into your living room, Life with PlayStation will offer a variety of interactive content and channels on a visually stunning worldwide map interface.
We’re focused on continuously expanding the world of PS3 through new services and hope to do just that with the upcoming launch of Life with PlayStation.
Delayed? Suprised? Nope!
Yeah I mean come on.... this is Sony we're talking about!![]()
, will know when something is up, when things start arriving on time!
I dont think this will turn into another Home scandal, this is just a normal delay. Didnt they delay the in-game XMB update by about 10 days as well, (maybe they should have delayed it longer).
Edit: Wallrunner noticed that F@H isnt loading files anymore and someone else noticed that LWPS is referred to in the F@H section of the PS manual, so is this a sign that it will fit in along with F@H? Some of you probably know the answer but sure some speculation is needed seeing as though we have to wait another while! Shouldnt be too long though as I'm sure Standford arent too happy that a few 100 thousand proteins arent being folded anymore.
Edit 2: F@H seems to be working again now.
I like this convergence instead of a bunch of applications all over the XMB. It's something I would show off to my friends. Unlike the Wii's News Channel, which only makes my testicles smaller.
Well, I think the PS blog said something about it:

Trust me, while delays are a reality in the "real world" the people responsible for them do not go unpunished. You have no way of knowing if Sony has had to discipline, or terminate, an employee for these delays.Hmm.. oh well as they dont give a definite date it could come anytime!
You know its funny, in school and uni they bang on about punctuality, meeting deadlines and how "in the real world such behavior would be unacceptable" but yet I see major cooperations constantly just missing targets or delaying things.
Look at games, movies, engineering projects, literally everything they just miss the deadline and set another... so if this is the message from the real world teachers should have a look at what they are telling us you must learn for real life because all im seeing is delays.... if you miss a deadline in uni its zero marks for you!

And sometimes, it is a last minute thing that pops up, and no one can be to blame, just as if your teacher at uni had to suddenly miss class at the last minute your assignment would be due later. It was delayed, but beyond your control.
This is a good point. Where are their services coming in from? The Wii News Channel only uses AP, which is already a subscription service for anyone who wants to put it out there. Anything else and you have to get into contract negotiations. The way he says "we're still pushing papers", makes me believe it was either a lie or that they are having some trouble with the external parties involved. Like the people transmitting the news feeds, maybe they are having trouble with contracts for the likes of the BBC news department or many of the worlds met offices. Yes it is a 'glorafied' weather map but probably with several other companies involved all of which are out to gain as much as they can.
