The Caterham and the Ginetta G4 both weighing in at less than 500 kilos

It spins out a lot if you don't have traction control on but overall, not that fast but very agile.

Those 2 are probably the best light cars. All models of the Toyota MR2 are good as well. Alpine A110 is another good one.

The Fire Blade is the lightest @ 369kg, with the Subaru 360 '58 2nd @ 385kg. Well, unless you count the 85kg PDI RACING KART. ;)

The G4 is 3rd @ 454kg and the Honda N360 '67 is 4th @ 475kg.

Cars that can be under 1000kg at. Least

I ask this as I feel light cars are normally fun and am looking to broaden what I actually drive

The Hommell Berlinette is under 1000kg if I recall correctly. Same as the ZZII by Tommy K and the Spyker C8 after weight reduction #1

The Speed 12 is like under 800kg
My mistake

The Caterham 7 weighs like, nothing. It weighs about 800 pounds while stock, and can be reduced to about 700. This makes the 165 stock horsepower seem much more... more.

My max weight reduced Minica Dangan is something under 600kg....

It's a kei car.

We're having an online race series in the VCRC with the Ginetta G4, unmodified.
It's a fun car!! Very light, yes. On the right tracks though, it's fairly well behaved. It turns nicely, though a tad finicky about that as it can get skittery if handled with heavy inputs at the wrong moments.
I would not call it rear-happy or spin-prone necessarily.
It will spin out... but I know a lot of cars that it's a lot easier to get the back end loose & causing a problem.

I forgot about caterham what's the gienetta like to drive

If you're looking for a tuned version of the car try the one from my garage (link is in my signature )

Missing two of my favorite ultra-light cars... the Marcos and the Garaya. Too bad the Marcos, even with very nice HP/Wt when tuned, doesn't have the straight line speed.

:dunce: it spins out a lot when you drive it. It doesn't have any aids in real life and everyone else manages ok. Keep practicing 👍

Yes it's a great car and I'm always very aware at how lightweight it is.

I wouldn't count the PDI as a car, if you know what I mean.
