Light "Tossable" Classics = FUN!!

Yeah, the most fun I've had in GT5 is just driving cars like these. When I was younger I just wanted to drive the fastest thing I could find (I really liked the Dodge Viper back then...), and now I'll drive anything, but love driving these.

I think my favourites are the N/A AW11 MR2 (the 80's doorstop one), AE86 (of course), KPGC10 (double of course, I would probably kill to own one in real life!), Lotus anything, Caterham Fireblade, Mazda 360 Carol, the Miura and Alfa TZ2, Toyota 2000GT, the 2002 Turbo (seems to be the weapon of choice here), The NA MX-5 and, to a lesser extent, the NB, Evos I to III and pretty much most of the late 80's to early 90's Japanese cars.

I have yet to try my E-Type, but this thread is making me want to. Is the TVR V8S any good? I don't think I've seen a single person ever mention it, and I've never seen it for sale. I'd know if I had because I would have bought it.

It's weird. There seems to be a direct link between how slow a car is, and how much fun you can have in it. My favourite experience in GT5 to date was in a classic Fiat 500 on the Nurburgring 24H circuit, at night, with the HUD turned off. It was just breathtaking.
I own all three of the cars you mentioned, but the only one I've driven is the E-Type. Personally I found it a bit too understeery, but I think I'll give them all a go now. Thanks for the tip!

I agree, I had a ton of fun at the ring in a VW polo race car (think that's what it was).

This coming from a guy that hates VW (at least the new ones, the old golfs were ok)
 
Tune a Miata, that's very tossable.

All the ones mentioned, especially the E-type. Oh anyone mention The AC 427? Any of the old Alfas? Some of the 240s are quite fun to throw around, and the old Lotuses are most defintiively great for some fun driving.

Try some of the older lambos and ferraris too.
 
Most fun I've had were with my stock Nissan 280z, My Cappuccino, my random French car i got thinking it was Italian (for the love of me i can't remember it's make and model), and my 62' Skyline (Honestly, loads of fun on trial mountain).

My only wish is that they would have added a VW TDI Jetta, i woulda loved to tune that thing and drive it, Oh well though :)
 
Mazda Autozam....The first premium mazda. Fully modded with a nice paint job, wheels and aero kit. Awesome to look at and even more exhilarating to drive.
 
My favorites are the Caterham Seven Fireblade (REALLY fun), and the Ginetta G4. Both of these are extremely light, and pretty fast as well. The Caterham is just a little rocket. I drive it as often as I can. Both are really nice to look at, too.
 
The caterham is pretty fun, but in my opinion, Mini Marcos GT is the best! 192bhp, just over 500kg, great fun racing it online when you find the right room! :)
 
Triumph Spitfire is a great ride! I really like the way mine is set up, with sport softs and ~150 hp. Great handling, with just the right amount of drift action! Very peppy - a spitfire of a car!:sly::lol:

And as the OP mentioned, Isuzu Bellet is also a great car to whip around in.

I have not tried my spitfire yet, still mad that there is not a TR6 in the game

I just bought that today, pretty fantastic car (needed to shell out like 50k to fix the chassis though :S)
 
Painted my E Jag Pearl White...she's a beauty and great fun to drive....👍

Quoted for truth!! This is currently my favorite car in the game... closest thing to "go-kart" like handling you can have... WOW!

Are you guys talking about KPGC10 '70 or KPGC110 '73?? Because I drove the first one and didn't think it was that special... yet to drive the 1973though.

Can't beat the Alfa Rome TZ2 (10,000,000crs one) also one of the best looking cars on the game IMO. 👍

One of the best cars period in the game in my opinion. Absolutely fun to drive, and god it's gorgeous!

The KPGC110 is pretty tail happy compared to the KPGC10. The C10 is a good chassis though. Very stable.

I agree the Jag looks great (mine's red), but I find it almost TOO much of a handful to drive on anything that isn't a race tire. It slips and slides and feels like it wants to spin out every time I touch the wheel! Makes for a good drifter I suppose...
