Had a storm take out TV, stereo, PS3, Fanatec GT3 wheel and Fanatec Club Sport pedals; lost it all. I had GT6 from the start, so I had every car, more than half tuned and 50 million credits.

PD I need to redue the seasonals and win all those cars again.

It's humbling to have to restart all over again from the ground up.

Has this happened to anyone? Any legal shortcuts?

Thanks,

GCturbo

And that's why you back up your game to a USB drive at least weekly, then you wouldn't have this problem, at least as far as your game progress goes. I used to save to a USB drive daily after I was finished playing for the day, never had an issue. There is really no excuse for losing all your game progress considering how cheap a flash drive is. As far as your electronics go, sorry to hear about that, quite an expensive loss. I had all my stuff plugged into a Monster brand power strip which was guaranteed against such stuff like lightning strikes. As far as shortcuts, I really couldn't tell you as I haven't played the game in well over a year. Best thing I can tell you is just grin and bear it and start from scratch again, there are worse things.

What you say hits hard, but true. Just never thought about this happening. But will use your USB suggestion.
