I've heard people say that the Furai can be used to beat both of these events. I'm even using the tunes they said worked for them. On average I am finishing 10 seconds off the leader on the close track with the Furai. I have no idea how people are beating the event with this car. Not only on the straights, but also in the infield the other cars recover so much faster from cornering than my car does. I can't keep up. I'm losing about a second per lap to the lead car. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi (first post here)

I did it just a few hours ago with a Corvette ZR01 RM (fully tuned) and beat it easily. (almost 2 sec ahead)

Way cheaper also.

I'll try and remember to post the tune I used when I get home. The key on indy is to not brake, literally. I never even lifted off the gas, I just scrubbed speed through turning.
On the daytona road course I had to get a good start and get towards the front pretty fast, and after I got the lead I never lost it, wasn't too bad. With the right tune that thing sticks to the ground pretty darn well.

Send me a PM right now and it'll remind me to check for you later.

Soft race tires
full downforce
change the oil
upgrade the turbo

stay to the inside on the straights once you get the lead so the other fast cars can not draft off you.

Stay on it through the corners.

Should be easy

I've been getting in the lead now actually after adjusting the TC and ABS. Made one mistake in the last corner of the last lap and spun out, then on a 2nd attempt one of the cars caught me and ran me right into the edge of the concrete corner leading into the midfield. Argh... I know that I can win it now though. Soon enough. :)

The tip to avoid the other cars drafting really helped. Thanks a lot! Woohoo.
