Hi guys i was just wondering if i could get some help

i cant decide on a good car to go for the FR races i dont have much cash (35k) and i have had bad experiances with FR handling (stupid Hatchi Roku)and was wondering what a cheap high HP good handling car would be?đź’ˇ

Thanks!:)

UPDATE: Ok the Cars up for decision are :
S14 Silvia
S15 Silvia
FD Body RX-7
Supra RZ

One last thing wat about a brand new RX 8 i heard they are good drifter or a 350 Z

I don't know what you consider to be high HP, but if about 300 is enough, you could go with a used FD-body RX-7. They are fast and handle well so you should have no major problems. Another good choice is a used S14 or S15 Silvia, preferably the Spec R Aero if you can get your hands on one of those.

Pretty much anything with 250+ bhp from the late '80s to the '90s can win the series, the choice is yours - but those two cars are my top choices. 👍

Well, they are not top handlers when compared to some other cars thanks to their higher weight but the RZ is also a very respectable car for its price and can be modified extensively so it is a good option if you want a car that can be turned into a real beast. It can be quite a handful in some situations but overall it's a fast car.

I just thought i would add this

I found a great money maker the lancer evo challenge through mitsubishi dealer is a great money makere at the start its only 3 races and i bet with my 370bhp lancer back when it wasdent fully tuned u get an old rally lancer worth 32k i think and its only 3 easy races worth 2 k a win its wicked!!

I think that if you are looking for a good handling nimble FR between 250 and 300 bhp then your two best choices are going to be the FD RX-7 or a Honda S2000. Both of these cars are compact, lightweight, and have power to spare. Both choices are plenty to win the FR race. The other cars you named off are also decent choices, but each has a flaw. The Supra is to heavy and tends to show it to often in corners and the Silvia's are fast, but they don't have the ability to lay down smokin fast laps like the FD and S2000.:sly: Plus modified these cars become unstoppable track cars.

For the best of the best go with the RX7 from about '96 to '02. Those are some of the best cars in the game... Lightweight, powerful, nimble- the whole package! 👍

I can't speak highly enough for the RX7, it really is a killer.

However, if you want to go another route, as "stig beater" mentioned, the S2000 is an excellent choice as well. Although it doesn't have the torque of the RX7, it does have the handling and PWR. On top of that, the S2000 has an awesome rev-range and sometimes there is nothing to replace the sound of 8000 rpms. :trouble:

Good luck with the choice.
Just remember this... (my opinion of course)... If you are serious about fast laps in an awesome GT car, stick to the RX7 or S2000. 👍
The Silvias naturally drift too much to be great racers and the Supra is "heavy."

On a side note: The Supra is an excellent choice if you can handle the weight (stock is about 1500kg and fully reduced it runs down to about 1250kg). High HP with gobs of torque and a great FR layout- the Supra can run amazing laps.

Thanks I will go with th Rx7

P.S Lol you guys wont believe what happened i fineshed heaps of series to get some cash and bought a brand new 350z for the FR races but guess what... i acidently bought that one out of the 20 Zs thats isnt a FR its just got that line there ARGHHHHH

ok i just bought RX 7 RS for 12k and while i was there i saw the sprinter AE86 shigano version can someone tell me wats so good about it it had a pricetag of 39k when the normal AE86 is like 5k?

Just as a quick note, try to avoid double-posting here (making two seperate posts in a row) - there is an 'Edit' button in the bottom right of all of your posts, use that instead. :) Welcome to GTP.

Most of the suggestions I'd have made for this series have already been mentioned, I'd probably go with a slightly modified Mazda MX-5 - just for fun and a close race, not to mention plenty of A-Spec points.

If you want a very fast and nimble car with great potential, go for the RX-7.
If you want a natural drifter, the Silvia is for you.
If you want huge power and don't care about a little extra weight, fire up a Supra.
If you want to have a close race against far more powerful competition, take an MX-5 :dopey:

I had a LOT of fun with an RX-8 in the PD Cup, which I fully modded (supercharger not turbo) and took to the All Japan GT Championship. There were actually quite a few close races, but the RX-8 has a GREAT balance with about 450hp and good suspension settings, allowing me to overcome the Pennzoil and Xanavi GT-Rs.

I would highly suggest an RX-8.
