Limit on sharing photos

One of the features I really like about this game is the ability to post your photos you've taken onto your in-game profile page.

I quite often will go through my friends profiles to look at their pics they've taken. Some of them look awesome with the amount of detail in the premium cars.

Also, I think this gives the game a real social aspect, just like facebook.

When I was adding some more photos to my profile though, I had a message come up saying I'd reached my limit for sharing. I only have six photos posted. I think this is too low. I'd love to add loads more than this.

Anyone come across this or am I missing something?


Another thing which is bothering me is what is the 'add to online' option for your cars for? All I can see is that people can view them on your profile page, but then you can't select them to race with until you de-select them. I thought this feature would be so people could use your cars during online racing?
 
Dunno about the second question, but the first one seems about right for a free service. PD must be hosting millions of photos already... which isn't cheap.
 
Whilst I wasn't expecting an unlimited number of slots, six seems an awfully low number to be able to post. Especially given how PD are pushing the whole social thing by giving us profile pages with message boards and gifting etc.

I think between 15-20 wouldn't been better. IIRC, each photo is only around the 1mb range so it wouldn't equate to that much web space.

I hope this doesn't come across as yet another GT5 bashing thread because I love this game. It hasn't left my PS3 since launch. I'm just asking for a few more slots 👍

Hey its all constructive criticism, but I agree. In FM3 I could put up I think 20, and the neat part was everyone could rate them. You could then view every players pictures, by category like highest rated, most views etc. I pay for XBL so I'm sure thats the main reason for this feature being so much bigger, but the pictures could never come close to any that I have taken in GT5.:)
 
I played Forza too and also liked that feature of rating peoples pictures. But as you say, the quality of them was nowhere near the standard of GT. I liked how Team10 would have picks of the week and most viewed/ downloaded charts too.

I guess that's what you pay £40 a year for though.

Ya, PD could learn from Turn10 on the online stuff, and Turn 10 could learn from PD on most everything else.
